n64 was a generation ahead of ps1 lol. ps2 was the first sony console with a gpu.[QUOTE="cryemocry"][QUOTE="ShadowMoses900"]
Nintendo does not care about technology, they are always a gen behind. This is why it is very important for them to never become the only one, if it is they would take us all back to the stone age of gaming. The only good thing about Nintendo is their 1st party games, which is the only reason I buy their systems.
Honestly they would just be better off as 3rd party really.
Gue1
N64 was more powerful but the disparity in graphics was nowhere near as big as the PS3 vs Wii.
difference between n64 and ps1 was bigger.valve is all we need.... ANYWAYS. microsoft is needed. WHY would you as a gamer want a game company go out of business that rivals other game company's by encouraging the other to make bigger and better things? no competition = no progress or very little to make ppl shut up and keep buyingk2theswissnintendo encouraged microsoft to sell out on the people who bought xbox in 2001. kinect was a big slap in the face to those people.
Hard to say. The general consensus is they have set the standard for console online, but other than that I can't think if a single innovation besides achievements and milking customers.darkspineslayerharddrives

Same is true with PC. A pc running a AMD Athlon X2 and a radeon 1950 XTX with 1-2gb of ram is not going to run next gen games (and that is what was around at the time of the 360's release), it can't even run games like the Witcher 2 well now. So if you are going to want to play "Next Gen" games, meaning games that are going to be coming out around the PS4/720's release, that PC is not going to cut it and will have to build a new system
Sure if you just built your computer in the last year or so it will be able to handle the start of next gen just fine, but our graphics cards alone usually cost as much or almost as much as a console. Unless you cheap out and buy low end card that will end up having a shorter lifespan.
Everyone just needs to accept, Gaming in general is not very cheap. It's only cheap if your one of those who are always a gen behind, like the people now who are just buying Wii's, PS3's and 360's. Or building a very cheap budget PC to play the games of old.

True.
And consolites keeps believing that consoles are cheaper when they have to buy a new console every generation to be able to play next-gen games...
