Would the Radeon HD 6870 be a better fix? :) Or do you have another suggestion? It looks like a very nice computer however at 1080p your video card is gonna struggle a lot. You definitely want to upgrade it if you intend on playing modern games.

Hi guys. I just built a new computer but can I have some advice on what it should be able to do and not do
and also, what I should upgrade in the coming years. I would REALLY appreciate it as I'm not as in tune with computers as I used to be.
I'm posting the names they have on Newegg, so sorry if they're long! Hahaha
I've got a 23" Samsung BX2331 LCD Full HD monitor
Cooler Master Full Tower computer case
GIGABYTE GA-MA785GM-US2H AM3/AM2+/AM2 AMD 785G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
ATI Radeon 5750 Video Card XFX 1 GB
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition Thuban 3.2GHz 6 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Six-Core Desktop Processor
Antec TruePower New TP-750 750W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC "compatible with Core i7/Core i5" Power Supply
CORSAIR XMS2 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
Regular keyboard and mouse haha, and that's about it!
How goes that?
So for sure the motherboard I have won't support that? Is there any way I can find out? Yeah I've been thinking about that... I have a tiny tiny case and even though it's cool-looking I think I'll need a new one! Any suggestions for that or just buy a cheap one that'll get the job done? And any suggestions for a motherboard that'll get the job done for not too high of a price?
I want to buy a new video card and I know i've got a slot for that but my computer is kinda too small.. would it be bad to just leave the case open?
Right now I have:
Pentium(R) Dual-Core E5300 2.60 GHz
Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Family Chipset
and 4GB of Ram
I want to be able to play new games so I want to get this video card
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X 100269VXL Radeon HD 4890 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
and this processor chip
Newegg.com - AMD Phenom II X4 945 Deneb 3.0GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor - Processors - Desktops
this'll sound dumb but could I do that or would I need to buy a new motherboard aswell? I bought the computer at bestbuy like this so I could improve upon it =], and I was hoping with this setup I could play the games I wanna play
How will my computer run newer games like DA: Origins with specs like this?
Pentium(R) Dual-Core 2.60GHz
Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5
4 GB of Ram
and if not what do I need to upgrade?
Would this game even get a 5.0 score if it was on the 360? This is a joke. FantasySports02Obviously the Wii controls are a part of what make the game, so it wouldn't even be the same game.
Lol, what a stupid comment.
[QUOTE="PrinceofSarcasm"]My question for wii only owners, don't you feel you missing out on anything the current gen consoles have.:? I mean mario, zelda and pokemon must get tiring after awhile don't they :question:lolwotrickrollaw just leave the poor animals alone. I mean it's not like they actually chose to only have a wii lol
I chose to buy the wii! I love it and it's got a good variety of games if you make the smallest effort to look! I'm not bashing on the other systems though, I like them all but I only have a Wii and I'm not bored! Sure we're missing out on a lot of games that go PS360 but it's not really killing us! I'm sure it goes the same for someone who owns a PS360 too when they see a game that goes Wii exclusive! On the other hand, having a Wii AND a high end system is really a good idea too! but that's just my opinion
I'm a Wii only owner and I love it!
Of course I love the other systems too, I've tried them all!
Why do you guys have to bash on the wii? It's got great games that anyone can play, is that such an offense? It seems like you guys are just mad that the systems you have are not selling as well(not that that's a bad thing, sales don't matter to me, I hate people who use them to state their system is better).
It offers games that wouldn't be the same on any other system, and that's why I like it. 360 = PS3 = Wii FTW
Just cause it's got older hardware doesn't mean it's **** I still see beautiful games on the Wii.
[QUOTE="xSuperBlobx"][QUOTE="DahlVaughnni"][QUOTE="goblaa"]deBlob JUST came out!DahlVaughnni
He was talking about REAL games. Deblob is a perfect example of the low quality games that gwar is trying to get across to you guys. It's irritating how all of these no-name games that only 10 year olds, or 50 year olds will buy.
I agree with OP completely. The wii is useless beyond the bigname mario zelda and metroid games. How about a mana game? (one that isn't trash. Secret of mana quality, not Dawn of mana quality). A final fantasy game (besides echoes). The next metroid game, zelda, Baten Kaitos, F ZERO ANYONE? Fire emblem.
You know, a game that you actually LIKE, rather than a game you force yourself to like because it builds your brain or makes you fit.
Err...if it's low quality, why is everyone who's got it saying how amazing it is? *confused*
Look at castle crashers. many consider it better than anything that you can buy in a $60 case. It was made with flash.
point and case
That was the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
I've played Castle Crashers and sure it's awesome fun but it's not anything compared to a full retail game. It's an Xbox Arcade game, that's it.
Well the only point you've proven is that if you own a wii you should probably consider a ps3/360 to go along with it.
The wii's got a lot of great exclusives but they miss out on awesome multi-plats, so therefore I think that a 360/ps3 and a wii is the perfect combo. The Wii doesn't get alot of the games the others get, but the others don't get a lot of the games the wii get so I think that combination would be great.
