mbchfdh2, Damn! You are old school. That whole VESA shift was a real PITA. Remember old school 3D gaming and hooking up a load of Voodoo2 cards together in one box! LOL. I have to say though. That was then. Things have not really moved all that fast on the PC in terms of ports. Hell you can still by PCs with serial ports! AGP was around for ages before it was replaced by PCI-e. I still have a PC that runs AGP and a radeon 3850 and can run many of the newer games on the market. A new mobo can be had for under $100 these days and a half decent PCI-e video card won't set you back much either. I too felt burned by PC hardware issues in the past but I think things have changed quite a bit since the glory days of PC gaming.

HOMIE G64, My point is people accept the DRM on the 360 and PS3 because there are litterally no other options. Think about it this way. What happens to all those XBLA or PSN games you paid for once the respective platforms decide to move on from this generation? People seem to get mad about PC DRM simply because it exists. Most PC DRM is not as obtrusive as it is made out to be. Again, there are always exceptions.

mbchfdh2, Guess it's either your TV or laptop then. I've hooked my PC up using both VGA and HDMI and they are quite comparable. I'm not trying to say PCs are better or consoles are better. I have both and I enjoy them very much. I just think PCs have gotten a bad rep due to their past. Most games you install on a PC run great right out of the box these days. There are of course exceptions but I think you could find examples of that on consoles as well *GeOW2 multiplayer-cough*. As for the person complaining about DRM. CONSOLES ARE JUST GIANT DRM BOXES!!! Can you take you 360 disc and play it on a PS3...NO! Can you play it on a computer?...NO! What happens if they stop makin' 360's?...Guess you ain't playin' your game dude. The Problem with PCs is that people use them for all sorts of other things and have no idea how one thing affects another whereas on consoles you are stuck with the experience the M$, Nintendo, or Sony have given you. P.S. PC owners...Stop complaining about not being able to play your game on the highest settings. often times the more moderate setting are good enough and allows the game to run better.

VGA looks just fine on an HDTV and if your HDTV doesn't have VGA you could always use a VGA to component cable. The possibilities are endless!!!!

@mbchfdh2, ...so just hook up your PC to your HDTV! HDTVs after all are just giant monitors with tuners.

Ricksterlau, You said it yourself that Bioshock is not visually as impressive as Crysis. So what if we can't play at super maxed out settings. The point is their will be a setting that will run just right on you rig. Your just mad because you can't fill your ego by tuning that little bar all the way up. It's like a kid with a new stereo. You don't always have to listen with the volume always cranked to the max. As hardware improves the game will become even more impressive. What's wrong with that? There are people that will be able to play this game with maxed out settings. They are the people who have built SLI rigs. One GPU won't be enough to get your rocks off.

Hardly a difference between 9 and 10 as far as stills images go. There's a very slight bit of extra shadow detail in the DX 10 version. Sometimes I guess the devils are in the details. When the game is moving DX 10 may make more of a difference. This game is one hell of a system eater though! btw, the water looks phenomenal. It makes me want to go swimming ;)

SilentEdge, That's not true. They could just create different control profiles for the two different models. Kind of like how it work when the original Playstation received the dual shock. It's really unfortunate that they didn't add the second analog stick. With that being said. I will probably buy this one due to it's multimedia option. If the games load noticably faster then It could make for a decent game machine finally.

nightfire99: NO the memorystick has nothing to do with load times. It matters how fast the drive is and how much internal memory (RAM) is in the unit. The memory stick is for multimedia files, saving and loading gamesaves and other things like that but it has nothing to do with system performance really. yoyo-pete: The problem is in the way PSP handles the transfer. If the system had more memory the load times would be less often. The other problem is the power management of the system. A good Disc based game, when programmed correctly, can load info into system memory on the fly. This requires extra power. The PSP tries to spin down the drive to conserve power while the drive is not being used meaning every time it needs to load more info into memory it has to spin up the drive again then transfer info. If the PSP tried to stream it's data to memory the battery life would be in the toilet. THE PSP NEEDS MORE MEMORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
