I haven't seen Public Enemies but I know that it was well-recieved.

District 9 and Inglorious Basterds were both awesome movies, if you don't think so then I have strong doubts about your taste in films.

Taking some of the best movies from an entire decade of films and comparing it to the movies of a single (unfinished) year is very fair...

You also seem to have left out films like 500 Days Of Summer, UP, Watchmen, The Hurt Locker, Star Trek, The Hangover, Moon, The Time Traveler's Wife, and The Informant.

This coming from someone who gave Starship Troopers a 9 out of 10.

If we choose to compare these movies due to their similarities (science fiction movies with aliens), District 9 wins in a ****ing landslide. I'm not going to say that District 9 was a great movie (even though it WAS a great movie), but as the old saying goes, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Or something like that.

Ifyou're trying to show how movies used to be so much better, it doesn't help your argument very much when you refer to movies such as freaking Starship Troopers. If THAT is your standard for greatness, then apparently all we're talking about is personal taste.

RE4 didn't ruin anything...it just reinvented

just because RE4 is one way, doesn't mean future RE games can't be more like CV

take that up with the developers...RE4 was a HUGE success, like it or not
