A Dream of a Nightmare
I lie awake, on the verge of sleep,
With thoughts racing and days planning,
Where our minds develop our life’s meaning.
The thoughts of one’s brain at night are deep,
Our personal philosophy is developing,
Where our future selves are in the making.
As our mind’s thoughts start to weaken,
We are suppose to drift to the land of sweets,
Where rainbow colored unicorns supposedly meet.
But not tonight do I escape the world,
To see these beautiful horned mares,
Because tonight I dream of a nightmare.
The flames burned against my face,
The screams encircles around me,
The smoke made it impossible to see.
Gunshots rang out through the streets,
Around me, death shouts were heard,
Merely horrid noises, not any words.
I started to run to get away from this place, but
Was shot by a police man, meant to protect me,
And my brain was lost inside a red sea.
I felt myself begin to rise up,
And as I looked all the way down,
I saw what was a nice, old little town.
The police all shouted some strange language,
As the shot people for merely moving,
So many lives this town was losing.
I opened my eyes to a village full of huts,
I looked down at myself, and all that was shown,
Was nothing but gut, skin, and bone.
I looked around at the sick, and the hungry,
And I felt myself drifting again towards the sky,
And saw all these poor people beginning to die.
I opened my eyes to a nice, clean building,
But when I looked outside of the window,
I saw a white missile moving like a torpedo.
It crashed in the wall, filling the room with smoke,
Flames burned the hair on my head,
And as quickly as it happened, again I was dead.
I opened my eyes, but this time to my ceiling,
My nightmare was over, and in bed I curled,
I was really happy that that doesn’t happen in the real world.

One Year Anniversary!
by curlfro on Comments
Well, I've been a member of GameSpot for exactly one year as of Yesterday (Damn, a day off  ) and I've decided to do a little reminising . . .
When I first joined, I really didn't plan on being that active. I just felt that I used the site enough that I deserved to at least make an account. Soon after, I joined my first union. The Ultimate God of War Union, when it just started out with StudioMAZ as the Leader. After a month or so of posting very regularly, MAZ decided to just forget about the rule of being 18+ to be an Officer and let me become one. I was so happy, but that happiness was short lived. MAZ felt that he was putting way too much effort into the union, and it wasn't worth it, especially since he got no reward for it. He was going to make me Leader, but the switch become to much trouble, and MAZ decided just to delete the union. :( I then joined the Sony Alliance to try and fill the hole left by one of the best unions on GameSpot. It was good for a while, and I also became an Officer, and in this time I became an Officer in The First Person Shooters Union, and a member of Scorpion Designs (a.k.a. Elemental Designs now). Then the union glitch happened, and it didn't allow us to re-make the old union. After what felt like years of waiting, we finally we're able to remake it! I was so happy that day. We started off with 10, then grew to 20, then 50, then 100, then 200, then 500! We were growing so fast I couldn't keep track! But, we sort of hit a rut, and I began feeling the same doubt as MAZ did way back then. I felt that the time and effort I was putting in was fruitless. I then decided to take a long break from posting on GameSpot and left the position of Leader to Muneeb (lvlUNE3B). I was going to just stay a member, but Muneeb convinced me to stay an Officer. Then when Muneeb told me that he just couldn't stay Leader, I felt the love for my Union overpower the boredom and wasted effort and decided to become Leader again. Now a month or so later, I am extremely glad I made that decision. The union is beginning to have activity again, and with the upcoming release of God of War II, the union should again be buzzing with activity!
Well, here's to all of my friends, both new and old, and hoping to another great year at GameSpot!

And if you're getting sick of the same style video I keep making (I know I am, anyway), you'll be happy to know my grandfather will be giving me a new video editing software. (very expensive, hopefully better than Windows Movie Maker)
So if Muneeb would like, he can swap this video with the other one on the TUGOWU homepage.

Yep, it's true. I just couldn't help myself. I find this image of a concept art of Kratos, and I just thought it looked so cool it deserved to be my profile. So . . . what do you think?
Finally Finished!

No more level 20 for me! :D It took long enough. Hopefully 21 isn't nearly as long.

Just wanted to wish you all a merry [fill in the blank] this year! I've gotten Guitar Hero II, Splinter Cell Double Agent, and Need For Speed Carbon: Limited Edition (Yes, aparently, there is a limited edition. All it really has is four extra cars and a couple of new races, but it cames in special case and a bonus DVD. I also bought a 2GB memory card at Best Buy with the gift cards I got.
Also, does anyone know what folders to make in a blank memory card so it works for the PSP?
CurlFro's back, and he's better than ever . . .

Well, not really. :( I went through a lot of thinking, and with everything I have to do now (Concert Band, Jazz Band, Karate, Work, School, Homework, Babysitting my little brother, ect.) I don't have the time to mentain a union anymore, especially when I put a lot of effort into something that gives me nothing back. More members and a higher level will only push someone so far. Now, muneeb has convinced me to stay an Officer, which I plan on doing for a long while, as it doesn't involve nearly as much effort. (No more lurking, GMG . . . ) And another decently big announcment is that I'm trying my best to use Photoshop on other things besides Sigs, as they are beginning to all look the same to me. I'm now making more Photomanipulatoins and logos. Here's some of my most recent work: Screaming Photo, and Stone.
And yes, the title is the Hess Truck theme (I hope this isn't a New England thing . . . )
