@Zombrex: PS2 had a lot of games, but are there really 1000's of "classic" titles. Maybe you missed my reply a few posts down. Xbox Live Arcade also has a ton of classic titles. I'm in full support of this. However, I'm mocking the large amount of Sony fans that litter Xbox BC articles with the same quote I just provided. The only advantages Xbox BC has is, if you bought the game digitally on 360, you automatically get to download them again on Xbox One at no extra cost. I hope Sony allows gamers to use their discs and doesn't decide to make you purchase them again. They may license the emulator to third parties to monetize on digital sales. We don't know yet.

@Summischief: Well, I was very happy when my copies of Sonic 2, 3, CD, and Streets of Rage appeared in my ready to install list. People forget that previous consoles had a great share of classic titles that are ageless. I'm waiting on Bomberman Live, Virtua Fighter 5, Daytona USA, Simpsons Arcade, Turtles Arcade, and more. Many of these older arcade games have been brought out with Online play, which gives a good feeling of older arcades I grew up in, and being able to enjoy these classics with others, creates a new experience at home. Playing 8 player Daytona USA is still a great experience, and I'm happy that I can still enjoy the experience. Heck, just played Sonic 2 multiplayer against a friend who moved out of state while twitching and conversing about the days Sega actually meant something. You don't get that with new games.

@danhalen: I think Original Xbox games would only see use if they could offer them digitally (but still offer them to play off disc). Finding original Xbox games is more of a chore anymore. Also, I'd like to see Live be turned back on for them as well. Otherwise, I don't really see the point. It'd be hilarious though that you'd only be able to play Shenmue 2 on Xbox One and then play Shenmue 3 on PS4.

Wait...so there is excitement in this? I mean...who buys a new console to play old games? Or is it more exciting because this console plays really old games as opposed to the other console that plays just slightly old games?

@Thanatos2k: It's optional dumbass. You can earn all the content pretty easily. People are inherently impatient.

@tr4newreck: It already does with your Drivatar. There's also Forza Rewards. You also get free spins every time you level up. The grind is less than even the first Forza. The content in the 60 dollar game is better than most 60 dollar games. I have never spent an extra penny in a Forza game.

I did spend on Battlefield 4 to unlock guns though. I bought Battlefield for 30 dollars a few months after release and 10 on acceleration since the grind is so dismal. In the end, I spent only 40. I work 70 hours a week, so I'm fine with the option.

@dyze: I know how retail works, but what I meant is, on Steam, the publisher gets paid for every single game sold. There's no used copies that go 100 percent to the retailer.

There is practically no grind in this game. I see nothing wrong with monetizing the impatient. As I said, I played little overall and have a good car lineup. The grind is less than the original Forza

@MrFreehuggs: been reading those crock gaming journalists? Neither of those are happening. Please tell me you're mocking those predictions from so called industry experts.

@normanislost: lol...forza is still not pay to win. There is little grind in forza. Destiny's hate is beyond the cosmetic additions, however...I personally dont care if developers sell cosmetic gear either. I just dislikes destiny as a game. I think many people feel that Activision is going to run it to the ground like Tony hawk, guitar hero, and cod. Once Activision gets a hold of a good selling franchise, they go apeshit with it.

In before the masses start condemning Turn 10 and Microsoft over this decision. However, I have no problem with acceleration. Many people, like myself, work 50 to 60 hours a week, and the time needed to make a progression in games like Forza and Battlefield doesn't fit some schedules. I understand pay to win schemes where needing to purchase additional gear that makes you nearly invincible is a huge problem, but I don't fully despise time saver accelerated progress.

Here's is my big problem with modern gamers. They expect the entire world for the 60 dollars they spend. Everything else in the world has continued to climb price wise, but gaming is more affordable than ever. I know many of you weren't buying games for the original NES when they were 50 bucks. How about Street Fighter on SNES for 70? How about N64 games for 80? Yes, cartridges were expensive, but producing video games today are far more expensive, but yet sold at only 60 dollars, which is only 10 dollars more than the average price of an NES game back in 1985. Today you get online servers, several hours of game play, continued post release support, and more.

However, gamers still condemn the industry for trying to add additional income. I mean, look at PC games on Steam. You want to know why they are cheaper and more affordable? It's because the publishers get every single cent for every sale. However, we shit on Microsoft for looking that same direction. Now, answer one question. Would any of you not be looking for ways to bring in maxim dollar if you had to invest multi millions of dollars and see no return on that investment for literally 3 to 5 years? That's what publishers risk when attempting new IPs, new game ideas, and new engines. Sega felt that with Shenmue. The Tomb Raider reboot felt it as well. Games are expensive! Even Turn 10 does extensive research, reaches out to car manufacturers for statistics, laser scans tracks, programs, gets proper audio data, designs physics, graphics...yadda yadda. Maybe some of you should look into this before bitching.
