I need your feedback desperately please guys.

I have been playing Left 4 Dead for the past week and love it, but occasionally, I encounter a few glitches.

Sometimes I get disconnected from a server with a message saying "Disconnected: No steam logon"

When in the main menu's, it sometimes also says I need to be signed into steam to play the game, yet I already am. So I have to reset the game for it to work again. Just randomly in the menu it will come up with this message.

I have also had a crash or two where it just crashed to the desktop with no message.

Has anybody else experienced these issues or is it just me?

The thing I am worried about, is that once I install TF2 would I have to download half the files like I did with CSS?

When I installed CSS from a CD, it made me download the rest of the game from 73% which took 6 hours.

Hey guys, I am kind of getting bored of CSS and want a new online game to play. Can be any style of game really, but preferably a shooter.

Keep in mind I have quite a slow internet (256k/64k) which is just a broadband connection.

I was thinking of getting COD5 maybe. I want a game with not to many updates and silly little patches that you have to download. Just one that I can jump on and play whenever I feel like.

Any suggestions?

Oh yes there are Sony Service centers down here, you will have no trouble with the warranty.

If your console breaks down, you send it off to Sydney for repairs. (Sydney is not far from Canberra, should be a quick process for your if it does break down)

Yeah I am 100% sure it works, I have been there and tested it and it is in good condition.

I am just pondering between the 40GB and 80GB though. This console I am looking to buy was manufactured just 4 months ago also, so it is quite new.

Will Sony cover me with a warranty at all? Will they even repair it for me for a fee if it does break down? Or because I bought off Ebay will they refuse to repair it even if I pay?

I will be moving to Canberra soon from middle east.I was just wondering could you guys tell me how it works there ? I will make points for your ease...

1)Whats the average price of a blockbuster PS3 game (like GTAIV or MGS4 ) in AU $$ ?

2)Is the game released on European or American release date ?

3)Are there any gamestops in Canberra ? Are they good enough ?

4)What is the price of a standard 40GB PS3 model AU $$ ?

5)I hope online sites work for ordering PC/PS3/X360 games/parts to doorstep ? and are all the major sites available to order from(example ebay, newegg, gamestop) or just some specific ones ?

6)Hows the availability of Play Station Services there ?

Please dont flame on me as i dnt know ANYTHING about gaming market of Auss :(.

I live in Australia so this is easy!

1. $80-$100 depending on the store

2. Depends for what game. Halo 3 released all around the world on the same date for example, and MGS4, same with GTA IV. But games like Resistance 2 and LittleBigPlanet we have to wait weeks to get down here. We are getting Resistance 2 about 20 days late, and LittleBigPlanet 10 days late.

3. No gamestops in Australia at all, but there are heaps of good gaming stores like EB Games and others.

4. We now have brand new 80GB PS3's down here, they sell for $688 with a free game or two. 40GB's still sell at some stores though for around $640.

5. Yes you should be able to order from all of those websites, to my understand they ship items to Australia.

6. Not quite sure what you mean by that, but there are Playstation services down here for sure.

Ok first of all, I am about to buy a 40GB PS3 off of Ebay. (I live in Australia by the way)

It is quite well priced, and comes with all original boxing and manuals, and is only 2 months old and rarely used. I am worried about the warranty situation though. It has no purchase receipt with it, so obviously Sony will not honor my warranty. Is it likely to break down? (He has shown me it is in good working condition though)

Do you think I should just buy a brand new 80GB PS3? Although I probably do not have enough for one.

I always like to have the newest models, but is the 40GB PS3 still a good one to get? Is the only difference between it and the 80GB hard drive size?

Thanks.

See, that is why it is so hard to choose. Both consoles have their own unique sets of awesomeness.
