Will this just be a player (like the hd-dvd add-on) or they will make game discs in this format?

If you're a business and you want to make money, what type of game are you going to make when only like 1% of your install base can potentially play it? How much money would you invest in this game? What do you think the quality of this game would be?

Anyways, if the price is really gonna be $150-200... I think thats puts a massive hurt on Sony gaming but is a major huge boost to Sony electronics.

Excellent point. So assuming its true and it will be just an add-on player it will be a win-win situation for both in theory. MS will get a market share of blu-ray movie adopters and Sony will rack royalty bucks. But the real question is will be the royalty payments outweigh their gaming division's losses? I doubt it. And so in the end, MS gains more from this.

If this is a sub-100 add-on player then this is a good deal. One of the strenghts of PS3 then is the fact its the cheapest blu-ray player in the market. However, I've been seeing far more cheaper blu-ray players now. I believe it goes down whether MS can utilize this (in time) to address some complaints with regards to its current disc format capacity.

Well, I think it was not hyped here to the point of it getting its own thread. I think some guys have been putting it on their list as a 3rd title behind LBP and R2 to look forward to at the end of the year in some exclusive title threads...

One funny comment by the reviewer here in GS was that D3 sometimes makes your PS3 a PS2. Now, thats backward compatability. LOL! :P
