[QUOTE="Ryudo88"]You do realize that the clerk had no control over the situation? Prices at the majority of retailers are set by head office, she couldn't lower the price if she wanted to.A couple of months ago I had my very own Gamestop horror story while shopping with my girlfriend.
I've been looking for a copy of Dementium: The Ward for the DS. In my area, it's pretty damn hard to find. In this city that we visited, the local Gamestop inside of the mall had a copy available. I walked in to buy it, and it was an opened copy of the game set for display. I asked the clerk if they had a sealed copy that they could sell me, and she told me "no". I asked if I could receive a discount, since the game is opened. The clerk replied, "no". I had the case to the last copy on the shelve in my hand, and I was debating on whether or not I should buy this opened copy, due to the game being hard to find. I didn't want to do it, but I said "screw it" and was ready to pay for it.
Out of curiosity, I opened the case to check if a manual was inside, and no manual was found. I asked the clerk "do you guys have a manual for this?" and the clerk replied, "no". So I said to the clerk, "so you want to sell me this game at the brand new price, even though it's opened and missing a manual?". The clerk replied, "yes, because it's a new game". I replied, "no this isn't a new game, it's opened and missing a manual". She said to me, "well it's a new copy and I can't discount it sir, sorry". Then she insisted on calling other Gamestops to see if they had copies available. I kept insisting that this isn't right and that I would gladly buy the game if they sold it to me at a used price, the clerk wouldn't budge and only offered to hold the game for me incase I couldn't find it anywhere else. I became extremely frustrated and left.
This should be illegal. Opening the games and selling them as new is one thing, but having a missing manual too? Gamestop is officially a retailer I am avoiding, which I should have done a long time ago. I'm writing corporate about this too. Gamestop shouldn't be able to do this to people.

Anyway I haven't had any major issues. There was one time when their debit went down and the kid who was working there ignored me for about 5 minutes while he was trying to fix it; but I understand how big of a pain in the ass that would be for a retailer.
you do realize that best buy, futureshop,wal-mart are all willing to change the price if the product is damaged and do give deals better than eb right?.....all they need is a manager to change it not the head office..............
