@sensesfail99 He clearly stated why not the PS3 in the article. They didn't want to deal with publishers so they left it on PC. It would blow your mind to see how many games you don't get on PS3 or XBOX for the same reason.
You would think Ubisoft would be willing to through enough money at this to make it happen. Fly developers in from their other studios, have people working on 24/7 etc... This is a big deal, since announcing this Ubisofts stock prices slipped lower than they ever have and they'll probably lose ALLOT of sales (no Christmas or Black Friday). This whole thing doesn't make much sense.
@rajwraith As a PC gamer I'm excited people will start to get the more of the great features I enjoy. Also having 7 year old consoles on the market forced the hands of multiplatform developers to hold games back for everyone. The best thing coming to consoles (PS4) is a focus on indie games, I have a powerful PC but tend to play more indie games than anything else.
Chances are I will not be buying a console for a few years (until an exclusive library really builds) but over all I think new consoles are a good thing for gamers even if we don't use them.
How could no one at Microsoft see this, XBONE is literally the first thing that came to mind when I heard it announced. Almost all of their services start with XB and 1 is spelled o.n.e. I think they either knew about it or are incompetent.
