I remember renting Mortal Kombat for my Sega Genesis, I must have been 5 or 6 at the time. I can't even remember which character it was but I couldn't even beat the first guy. His fatality moved scared the crap out of me and I couldn't sleep at all that night. The next day I took it back and exchanged it for Chamelion Kid (awesome game).
Well... you could always try putting up cardboard or something on both sides of your monitor to make it more difficult for people to screen look...
Plus doesn't sitting next to your teammates make a little bit more sense than sitting next to an opposing player, that way even if your teammate does look, he won't have anything to gain.
If screen looking at lan parties bugs you that much, try playing split screen on a console...
Hmm, apparently you are right, it is listed at $60, which seems to be a first. But, new pc games typically are on sale for at least $10 off in the weekly ad for either Best Buy or Target in the first or second week of release. Still, not needing Xbox Gold to play the same game online is always a bonus.[QUOTE="MadCat46"] Nah, the PC version is going to cost the same as the console versions. $60Qixote
I'm pretty sure i read in another thread that the console version will cost $70.
Btw are the map packs going to be free for PC, or are they planning on making it dlc?
I was also curious on what the learning curve is on TF2? Right now, my kills are few and far between as Im am totally new to the game. I am playing as a Scout and having a blast though. I am not much of a PC gamer, so the whole M/KB thing feels very foreign to me. Will a corded Xbox 360 controller work on TF2 on PC?

The learning curve depends on the person, but imo it shouldn't take too long, its not a really hard game. My advice would be to stick with your teamates and watch how they play, you won't have much success going rambo.
You can use a 360 controller if you have a usb adapter thing for it, but you would be putting yourself at a huge disadvantage. I would try to stick with the kb/m a little longer, and tweak the mouse sensitivity to your liking, if you haven't already.
imo backstabing a medic with his ubercharge filled up in TF2 is the most satisfying:)
When i first started playing I found it usefull to go on a server with instant or fast respawn (that way you won't get frustrated if you die a lot), and plays as pyro or scout. Instead of focusing on kills just run around and try to learn your way around the map, plus spies will generally leave scouts and pyros alone.
Once you've learned your way around a map and you can experiment with different classes and see what works best in different situations
