Well yesterday (2/21) was Lent and for Lent I'm going to fast from playing video games for 40 days. Tomorrow (2/23) is 30 hr. Famine.

I want Supreme Commander real bad, but I"m a Linux person and I'm not to keen on wanting to spend that much time in Windows, but PC games are getting really good. I might have to pick up a few.

So you think you like games? I'm into the industry side of games as well as playing them. I don't know what happened but I listen to and watch 8 videogame related podcast, RSS Gaming related news, and post on three separate gaming sites. I recently discussed gaming history and the future outlook the upcoming system landscape. If you look at my collection its getting pretty healthy. To top thing off I'm on the look out for a Gizmondo and a Tiger electronics game.com. Do ya think I like games?

Up and coming this fall I'm hoping to hone my God given talent and bang out something with Microsoft's XNAexpress as well as see what the PS3 (599.99 version) has to offer.

I will be changing my icon for the moment to show my support for the games.

I've had Windows Vista Beta 2 installed for a week now and sofar the resource requirements are really taxing on my system. Its like a forced upgrade. I'm going to buy stuff for my system (more RAM, new video card, etc...) but man its chunky. Windows 2000 was close to 600MB install. XP over a gig. Vista... yikes. Don't get me wrong...alot of the upgrades are intuitive.....but not that intuitive.It feels like a cross between Gnome and KDE. Mac users shouldn't worry though it hasn't been made any easier. My biggest "ah ha" moment was when I installed an app and it asked me to reboot.

I'm sticking to Suse Linux and XP.

When Apple OS 10 debuted and the G4 was a beast of a machine, Apple was looking reeeally good to some people who wanted a change of pace. John Carmack showed off the power of a Mac running on OSX and the G4. One could assume that the Mac would now be a serous contender in the PC gaming realm, but fast forward and there is nothing to really break in that new Intel based Mac except Quake 4, WoW and a sprinkling few games. What happened? I guess the developers are preoccupied and only have room for the next gen consoles, PCs and the Wii.

I just got my Dodge Caravan maintenanced at its 30,000 Mile mark. Apparently this is a milestone maintenance marker where a good deal of parts are to be replaced. The total cost of the servicing was 600 dollars and we were told the van would need an additional 1,400 to 1,700 dollars worth of parts replacements. I almost had a coronary after we were told this because the bluebook value of this 30,000 mile 2001 Dodge Caravan in EXCELLENT CONDITION is worth A STINKING 5,000 dollars!!! This isn't much of a shock to me because we had a Chevy Malibu that was totaled and we got less then 1/3 of its bluebook value when we got it 2 years prior. We had to get our Camry maintained so today we had to pay only 70 bucks! While my wife was at the Dodge dealership a DODGE sales person told my wife the bottom line and whispered "Japanese cars are better." Afterward my wife returned to the Toyota dealership and we found out that the comparable Toyota van's major maintenance point was 130,000 miles and the most it would cost is less then 300 dollars.

My point is why SHOULD I buy American if another nations product is simply better in every aspect?!

Man oh man... Last week was crazy. For some reason I decided "hmmm. let me move my xbox, and gamecube into the living room so I can play on a big screen." (the setup before was on my 17" monitor) Then I dusted off my Sega Genesis so that my 3 year old can play Sonic 3. Last night I was looking at my Sega Dreamcast and @ 1:00AM - 2:30AM I was playing Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Phantasy Star Online.

Whats next? Will I connect my Colecovision to play Donkey Kong or Popeye?! I'm catching a gamers high.

Wow. Just when I started to not like the Gamespot's forum I found brothers and sisters in Christ in the the Christian Unions.

Yesterday I picked up Street Figher Alpha 3 MAX and (bonus) found Smash Bro. Melee for 20 Bucks. I made a review of SFA3M, but I still have to play SSBM more in depth to post a review.
