I have the problem too. I know this adds nothing to the discourse, but I felt like piling on along with everyone else.

As you probably already know, MW2 will be receiving DLC priced at $15. http://www.gamespot.com/news/6253609.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=newstop&tag=newstop;title;1.
The DLC will contain 5 maps. 3 of those maps will be new, 2 of them will be rehashes of COD4 maps.
This is ridiculous pricing. Here are some perspectives:
- $15 is equal to 25% of a $60 priced game. Are 3 new maps, and 2 old maps, really worth a quarter of a new game??
- $15 / 5 maps = $3 per map. Do you want to pay $3 for a map you already played in COD4? Let alone $6 for two maps you've already played?
- If you discount the COD4 maps, then you're paying $15 / 3 new maps = $5 map. You can buy a downloadable game for this cost.
Activision is clearly trying to see how high they can price these maps. It's $15 now. It will be $20 next time if they succeed at this price point. The only way to send a message to them is to NOT BUY THIS DLC!
Tell your friends, family and neighbors - whether you're 360, PS3, or PC: DO NOT BUY MW2 DLC at $15! Wait until a deal comes or until they drop the price point. If the DLC does not move well at $15, there will definitely be a discount, rest assured.
If you need to get your online fix, I suggest BBC2, as many others do.
Please spread the word, and thank you for your support.
Thanks for the response!
I find it a little out of sequence that GS posted its game guide to MW2 before posting its review. A review should come first, as reviews are used to help educate us consumers about purchasing the product. The guide should come second, since we can't use it until we actually purchase the game. I also tend to think that a review would be quicker to put together than a game guide.
Thoughts?
I grew up with the 2600 and had most of those games. Yar's revenge is pretty good. When the base turns into that spiraling missile - try hitting it with your zolon(?) cannon as it comes flying at you. Extra points.
I wish they gave us an option to go back to the classic XBar font and icons. The 3.0 icons and fonts are really large and look a bit cartoony. I know it's supposed to help make the XBar more readable, but I liked the classic look better. It just looked sharper.
Dave Arneson, one of the co-creators of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy game and a pioneer of role-playing entertainment, died after a two-year battle with cancer, his family said Thursday. He was 61. (http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2009/04/10/us/AP-Obit-Dave-Arneson.html?hp)
This guy was one of the foundations of modern gaming - table top and video.
Just wanted to pay my respects in this little way.
RIP.
How long is the average game? Is it a good title to pick up / put down and play it over the course of a few weeks/months? I work a lot and have to squeeze my gaming time into small fragments of hours :(
I don't know. The video is obviously edited and sped up to make him look even better than real time play. Not to say he isn't good. I just bet that if you slowed it down to normal time and included his deaths, you wouldn't be so impressed.
FFIII, or FFVI according to the Japanese numbering. That game was perfect!
