Yeah it was from my current PC, i did the test with only the mobo and psu on anti static but still doesnt work..another possibility is that the 4 pin doesnt work.. argh i got a headache..
I've checked with 2 different rams. First is the new one I bought 2 x2gb and old set 2 x 1 gb both same but old ones are revision 2 and have better CL? I bought the wrong ram..
It doesnt say anything about supporting Pentium Dual Cores and 45nm in its manual, someone said something about needeing a bios upgrade I think this may be the case. I do have another super broken pc but it has a working p4 chip in it, time to try that in this mobo
I didnt think the pins would fit but it did and it did power on.. so the psu is indeed fine and its the mobos prob. I think I'll just have to exchange it. Thanks for the help everyone..
But since the power goes through doesnt that mean the PSU works? It is brand new and never used.
I had a ps2 before with a blown mobo but power still went through, though I really hope theres nothing wrong with the mobo cause returning it is bothersome
