damnyoyoyo's forum posts
they are http://ps3.ign.com/articles/107/1077424p1.html Are you an old school PC player who has migrated to consoles but still misses your old Quake parties? Well, Illfonic has heard your cries and is bringing a dose of arena-based first-person shooters to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live this summer.my favorite poster gets a PS3... cool.
They should make more games like Quake 2.

[QUOTE="damnyoyoyo"]goddamn this 1200 mb killzone2 demo is taking forever to download, i thought people just had crappy connections when they said downloads from psn are slow, hell yea they are slow compared to xbox live.robobie
Weren't you supposed to be comparing the PS3 to the PC lolz?
All I see is a lemming bashing the PS3
the downloads on xbox live slow are slow as hell compared to pc...happy now? lloolquake on mplayer.com and heat.net=most fun i ever had period pretty much in gaming. MPlayer, referred to as MPlayer.com by 1998, was a free online PC gaming service and community that operated from late 1996 until early 2001. The service at its peak was host to a community of more than 20 million visitors each month and offered more than 100 games http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mplayer.com[QUOTE="damnyoyoyo"][QUOTE="Some-Mist"]
that's actually not what I'm saying at all. PSN and xbox live are exceptional network. Not that steam or battle.net don't do it just as well, it's just PC isn't what it used to be. Times have changed and it's time to move on.
btw, your posts reek of fanboy.

okay? and te service doesn't operate any more? If the service was still available, maybe you could make some sort of legitimate comparison, but what does PC have now that provides more enjoyment than PSN or XBL?
my point was PC was in it's prime around the 90s/early 2000s and consoles are starting to dominate the gaming industry. PC gaming networks are just as casualized, if not more so than consoles now.
I've found some enjoyment in STEAM but it quickly wears off, and I've been enjoying quakelive for quite awhile but that's about as fun as it gets for me.
when u host a game on steam it's ran off ur home connection.quake on mplayer.com and heat.net=most fun i ever had period pretty much in gaming. when you hosted a game of quake on mplayer.com it was ran off their dedicated servers not ur home connection. plus each game has a lobby where everyone in the same game lobby can text chat and cam and voice chat in the room and texti agree, gaming services like mplayer.com and heat.net pwned psn and xbox live arent even close.[QUOTE="damnyoyoyo"][QUOTE="Some-Mist"]
90s PC gaming was far superior to console gaming. altho I personally don't think a good PC game has come out since Diablo 2. I played TFC in leagues for 6+ years, I'm a quake player, love doom and am a big blizzard (starcraft/diablo) fan.
it's all opinion based but the PS3 offers me a pretty awesome library. Demon's Souls has been one of my favorite games in the past few years, and I've been having a blast with heavy rain, dead space, bayonetta, DMC4, Uncharted 2, NGS 1/2, MGS4, NHL 10, FFXIII, and I'm really excited to pick up GoWIII, Yakuza 3, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and the last guardian. A lot of those titles can be found on the 360 as well, but not many of them go to PC.
I didn't really console game after the PS1/Dreamcast, so having a backwards compatible PS3 is awesome. I've been catching up and finding games/genres(beat-em-up) not really available on PC. it's unfortunate that you're late to the game and don't have a BC PS3 :x
