[QUOTE="hiryu3"]I personally think the story is great. Alternate reality from WW2 on. Resistance 1 and 2 are way longer than R3. R2 was big on MP and there are still some people playing it but it is no were close to what it use to be. R3 MP is fun but personally I am bored of MP games so I am not a good reference for that question. R1 still has people online but it is around 20-30 people total still playing it. All three games are more SP than MP so story and playing solo will be fine.

Personally I don't like to play famous series MP because usually the community take the matches way too seriously, and if u made little mistake they never let u live it down. It was same with UC2, Gears of War and halo. I mostly have more fun when playing SP games.

[QUOTE="JohnF111"]Resistance: Fall of Man = Great SP with great MP. Definitely a SP orientated game. Resistance 2 = Not a bad campaign but shorter, non-narrated and not as thrillingly addictive, definitely a MP orientated game. Both have great online components and the story is pretty damn amazing if you ask me but i have low standards for a story so me saying it is amazing could mean others say "It's good".

Thanks for the info :) so I'm guessing if RE2 is MP focused, that means RE3 is also gonna be mostly about MP too? I'm not really in to MP games, but I saw some footage of RE3 and I really like the atmosphere. It kind of reminded me of bioshock, so I'm kind of hoping for a great SP experince.

I'm planning on buying Resistance dual pack and Resistance 3 and have some questions. How is the story? Is it any good? How long is the campaign? The big selling point of RE is SP or MP? if this game is mostly about MP like COD games please tell me, because that's not what I'm looking for. What I want to know if the RE series is good as just SP game.

Dead Rising 2, who's idea was it to put overall timer in open world game? Not to mention crappy AI and combat. The only thing good about the game was, u could make cool weapons but u couldn't really enjoy that because u don't have time to explore and find new materials. Just watch this review, it basically how I feel about this game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVEPMTihlE0

It's not about the gameplay or setting (lots of JRPGs are set in medieval ages). It's about the kind of storytelling. A game is classified as WRPG because you play as yourself, because the character of the hero (if you even choose to be a hero) is not predetermined. Japanese style RPGs have a mostly linear story and set characters. That's why people say that Demon's Souls is more of a western RPG. Personally, I prefer calling it an action-adventure, the same with Legend of Zelda. The gameplay is too far from other RPGs.Reptylus
I see what u mean, but to me I never felt like i was playing WRPG. And to me the way story told is much similar to SOTC and Zelda, the environments tells the story. But now I see why people classified this as WRPG.

It seems people think that Demon's Souls is more like a WRPG because its set in medieval. But i never see any WRPG play like Demon's Souls.

Fallout and Oblivion plays more like a FPS and Mass Effect plays like a TPS. Even Dragon Age plays more like PC style RPG.

RecentlyI startplaying OoT for my 3DS, and it felt that i was playing lighter version of Demon's Soul, specially the way u use your shield to block then counter attack.

am i alone in this? I dont play that much WRPG, so if any WRPG u know that playes like DS please tell me.

I agree with this kinda. I think the 3DS will be a completely unique experience. I loved the gamecube, but I think the 3DS will be better. I love it so far.FPS1337
In my opinion 3DS gonna be better because it will have better 3rd party support. We didn't see games like KH or MH games on gamecube.

[QUOTE="KiD_ReMiX"]

Looks about the same as Birth by Sleep.

Spinnerweb

But but but I liked Birth by Sleep :P

Nice footage, I don't mind if it looks similar to BBS.

To me birth by sleep is as good as KH and KHII. To tell u the truth I don't mind playing KH in handhelds, as long as im enjoying the games, why not?
