I'd very much like the ability to delete my gamespot account. I have no intention of blogging further and the new "stacks" system is a lousy way to keep track of my collection and upcoming releases. In short, after eight years I want nothing to do with the site. I've looked in the account settings and can't find a way to do this. If there is a way to get myself, my personal information, and everything I've submitted to the site permanently removed I would like to know.

Personally I feel that Jrpgs have better stories but Wrpgs are more immersive games.

The folks at Extra Credits summed it up well when they said that most western rpgs generally have "empty vessel" characters that the player is supposed to become as they explore the world. While Japanese rpgs usually put the player in the role of observer rather than cast them as the protagonist.

Games like Skyrim, Baldur's Gate, or KOTOR are all more open ended and feature characters that essentially exist for you to play however you want. While Final Fantasy VI, Xenogears, or Ni no Kuni have you following the main character and watching them interact with the world around them.

A remake of Sonic 1 up to Sonic & Knuckles. I can't wait forever for the next good Sonic game, SEGA, even though I'm happy to see more decent Sonic games now. HNNNNGGG. Cloud_765

I'd like Square to remake Final Fantasy III, V, and VI using the same engine they used for the PSP versions of FF I, II, and IV. They could release III, V, and VI individually as they finish them via PSN. However once they are all finished they should take those versions of FF I-VI (upscaled for HDTVs), bundle them on one blu-ray, and release it as the "Final Fantasy Classics Collection".

I consider the PSP versions of FF I, II, and IV the definitave versions as they look and sound much better while still preserving the original 2D feel. I'magine having FF I-VI on a single disc, with trophies, concept art galleries for every game, and maybe something like FF Mystic Quest as an unlockable. As a preorder or "bought new" bonus they could throw in a code that you can use to download the soundtrack for all six games on the disc. I think a lot of people woud buy this but square isn't doing it. Probably because they don't like putting good ideas and making money together very often.

If they wanted even more money they could do HD versions of FF VII, VIII, and IX as "FF Classics Collection Vol. 2"

I seriously hope you're saying you got Suikoden II AND all those games behind it for $160. 

I know Suikoden II is valuable (typically $100 to $130), but I hear that it is one of the most ridiculously overpriced games in terms of the game you get in return. As long as you're happy with it though, congrats.

I'm playing it now and I am quite happy with it. I know it's expensive but there aren't any places that sell old games like this where I live, so online is my only option. Part of why it was so expensive is that I bought a copy in fantastic condition.

Being Legacy gamers, the majority of our purchases will be used games. I'm interested in what you do when you get your new-old titles home.

Do you stick them straight in the collection and take them as they are or just change the cases and then store them?

I probably go a bit over the top, but i like having a collection that looks new at least on the outside and i'm not a fan of other peoples bacteria:

1. Unbag/unwrap purchase and examine box. Decide whether to clean it or replace it.
2. Remove box art, disc and manual then thoroughly clean outside and inside of box with an anti-bacterial wipe (Dettox).
3. Dry with paper (kitchen) towels.
4. Check box cover art for any white wear-marks on Playstation header and edges. Fill them in with a thin black marker.
5. If bottom edge of cover has been exposed and is heavily marked/torn/disfigured, then remove 1-2mm from edge. This sounds extreme but makes a world of difference - just make sure you use a straight-edge to cut with!
6. Flick manual pages in front of nose, inhale slowly. If smoke odour is present, bag-up manual and put in freezer for 1-2 days.
7. Examine disc closely. If marks are visible then wipe down with Camera lens cleaning cloth.
8. Put everything back in case and insert into collection.

Sounds like you have a bit of a love affair going with your collection but as a fellow collector I respect that. Generally if something isn't in great condition I don't but it unless it's something I really want and is hard to come by. After I buy something used I clean the case with a wipe. After that I remove the box art and remove any stickers and/or traces of sticker goo. Replace box art and insert into collection.

Set me back $160 plus shipping but I'm happy with it.
