Comedy Central offically is lame

Not only have I started to get over South Park and Chappelle's Show, but now they canceled the best show they had going for them:

Drawn Together

A lot of you might acutally hate it, but I loved it, with it's R-rated Animaniacs vibe and all. It just gave me pleasure watching it.

In short, Comedy Central can burn in hell with all of their other, lame shows for letting all of their good shows go (Remember Dr.Katz? Shorties Wathcing Shorties? Not for very long, at least.)

SOCEC Goes retro-er

Josie & The Pu$$ycats,

Long tails, and ears and hats,

Guitars, and drums and bass,

Neat, sweet, a groovy song, you're invited come along,

Hurry Hurry!

See ya'll in Persia, or maybe France,

We could be in India, or per chance,

We got stuck in Babcock,

Makes no difference where the actions at,

We're involved with this or that!

Come along now!

Josie & the Pu$$ycats,

No time for purrs or pats,

Won't run when they hear scat,

They're where the plot beigns,

C/mon where the good guys win,

Josie & The Pu$$ycats, Josie & The Pu$$ycats yea-h!

If you've ever talked to me, you would know that I love two things: Hanna-Barbera and Archie comics. So, to me, HB's take on Josie & the Pu$$ycats was a perfect combination for me as a child. In fact, between Jonny Quest and Top Cat, it's my favorite HB toon.

And I'm glad to announce that it, along with Birdman & The Galaxy Trio, Space Ghost & Dino Boy, and Filmation's Batman and Superman shows are all coming ot DVD this year!

Great releases, but we're still missing another important Archie title with a them song like this:

Everything's Archie!

Archie's here,

Betty's here, Veronica too!

Reggie's here,

Hey, Jughead, where are you?

We wanna dance, and we wanna sing,

Have some fun and go adventuring,

All our friends are here, but it ain't complete,

We ain't the Archies, without the Jughead beat!

Archie's here,

Betty's here, Veronica too!

Reggie's here,

And here comes Jughead, and Hot Dog too!

So everything's Archie!

C'mon, let's go, to the Archie show!

In the real world...

...The graphics are much better than video games!(Well, excluding Gears Of War and Lost Planet, maybe.)

But seriously, incase some have thought that i died or just gave up on life and wacth my old Hanna-Barbera tapes and Animaniacs DVDs, i want to here my tv.com friend's discuss with me everything else.

Nothing much for me to talk about currently, except that i can't get a date this year, i just ran out of luck, damnit!

SOCEC News Break!!!

IT'S HAPPENING!!!!!!!

First things first, the third season of AYAOTD? will be coming out in Canada, but the great news of ti all:

SOCEC Update #4

First of all, please keep helping me with my top 100 cartoons list. The only reason i put this up is to make a special announcement for the members. One very requested although not that old show is finally getting it's first season out on DVD.Which?

THE PPG'S!!!!!!!!!!!

Which one is this?Spell it out,and remember that it's madness during 98-05.Even though i'm a guy,i'm pumped.I love this show and pretty much love CN right now.

Working on a better top 100 cartoons list

Since the previous one was prehaps a little too biased, i'm attempting a better and more realistic top 100 list, and need some help to determine it.This time,i need about 4 other animation lovers to help me determine which should be on the list, and we'll discuss it on here.

Any volunteers?

SOCEC Update #3

Uh,not much to report except for some detaisl about some of your favorite old Fox Kids programs.

You see,Fox was in legal debt in around 2002and had to sell the rights of their programs in their saturday mourning block to Disney.Disney just wanted them for Digimon and Power Rangers.Digimon was on it's final season in the US,and Power Rangers hasn't been extremely popular in 5 years.

Of course, they also had the rights to X-Men,Spider-Man,Bobby's World, and Eek!The Cat,among others. This is why X-Men,Spider-Man,and The Tick were on Jetix.Of course, knowing Disney, they didn't give a ratsass about the rest of the litter, excluding The Tick, which still airs on Jetix, and has its first season[excluding The Tick Vs.The Molemen, however] on DVD.

The reason why the comic book based series haven't been put on DVD is by this assumption.

Two years ago,to commerate the release of The Fantastic Four,Disney put Fox's complete[And rather poorly done,i might add] animated series to DVD.Apparently, this put up a major beef with Marvel, who wanted full rights to their series. The two companys are battling this currently,so don't blame Disney. It seems that Disney wanted to put X-Men out on DVD when The Last Stand was released to theatures,as Spider-Man with the third film.

So,will we see the short lived Silver Surfer series with Fantastic Four:Rise Of The Silver Surfer? No,that ship has sailed. How about X-men when either Wolverine or Magneto's prequel films,or Spider-Man by either Spidey 4 or Venom, whichever is ocming?Or Iron Man when the Iron Man movie arrives?Or even Avengers:United We Stand when the eventual Avengers movie comes out?Maybe.[Hopefully not for the last one.Don't get me wrong,The Avengers are acutally my favorite comic book series, but the show focused too much on third rate members like Tigra and don't even feature Captain America or Iron Man.]

Something else worth note is that Louie Anderson is figthing to get Life With Louie out.And in more recent news[and my favorite piece of new so far this year],Howie Mandall is fighting ot get Bobby's World back.New episodes?Toon Disney or even Playhouse Disney reruns?A DVD along Louie's release?More than one of the above?I'm not sure, but eagerly await any new news.

If you already know, than i'm sorry, but if not, than there you go.

SOCEC Meeting #7

I don't know what to say here expect that this to have those who joined discuss which of these shows we loved.

One thing i can mention is that Talespin,Chip N Dale Rescue Rangers,Goof Troop, and The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh have returned to Toon Disney's lineup.

On Monday,anyway.

I checked the schedule, and they only appeared on said day.Movies took over them the next two days, and the Talespin and Rescue Rangers eps on there are already on DVD,so unless you don't have them, there's no point to watch them. The Goof Troop, however,i'm recording on my TiVO.

So i don't really care right now.So discuss what you want to.

Disney?!

They've done many bad discissions before.

Hired Eisner.

The 65 episode limit.

Crappy straight-to-DVD sequel after sequel.

Commericalising crap like Finding Nemo and Lizzie McGuire instead of Bonkers and The Black Cauldron.

Poorly done DVD releases of classic movies/programs.

Jetix.

Mickey's attitude change.

Excluding the Disney family 4 years ago.

I could go on and on like this, but now to the topic at hand:

American Dragon:Jake Long, perhaps their best program in 15 years, cancelled after only 2 seasons and 52 episodes.

After this mishap, they can go to hell for all i can care. And The O.C. was supposed to be the biggest cancellation of the month.

I hate Disney now after this. Not their old programing/movies,however,just anything done after AmDrag.

Without any good reasons,no less!Just that there won't be a third season. And there went the best thing to happen to the company since Toon Disney.
