Hi,

I just bought DLC2 map pack of COD MW3. In total 6-7 files were downloaded and I installed them individually from the PS3 main menu.

When I start MW3 multiplayer, it doesnt show the new maps in the multiplayer or the offline split screen menu. I can't seem to find the faceoff maps either.

Can you tell me what I am doing wrong here? Downloading and installing new maps in Black Ops wasnt difficult.

Please note I havent downloaded the DLC1 map pack. I am not sure if I am required to buy that first before I go on and buy DLC2 map pack.

Thank you,

darktaktix

I registered my PS3 with US. But now I've moved to South Asia and on multiplayer games I get games with players from US resulting in me having some really bad lag.

Can I shift my account (Username, all trophies and game stats like COD Black Ops ) to Middle East or UK?

If yes then how?

Regards,

Thanks for the answer.

They perform better on all three fronts? And would the model that I've mentioned here perform good?

Hi,

I've been researching for my new TV lately and I've shortlisted 2. I now need reviews from people who've used them or from people who can check their specs and rate which one is better for:

  1. PS3 Games
  2. Cable TV (Mostly Sports Channels)
  3. Movies

The TVs are:

SONY 46" LED EX700 Bravia Series HDTV, which costs roughly 180,000 in my currency:

[Can't copy the link here as this site is not allowing it, however, it can be googled]

And SAMSUNG 50" 430 Plasma HDTV which is costing 85,000 in my currency:

http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/PN50C430A1DXZA-features

Plasma seems value for money but LED is new technology and is bound to stay for a long time.

So, (irrespective of the cost, maybe), which is a good investment considering the 3 main requirements (mentioned above) I need the TV for?

Thank you,

I basically want to know how can I improve my internet speed to play Call of Duty Black Ops 4 on PS3 online? Everything below is just a case study for all the tech experts around.

I am using a DSL 4MB package with a ****** 54 G router. The speed test on my laptop over wifi shows the following stats:

Ping: 24 ms Download Speed: 3.39 Mbps Upload Speed: 0.85 Mbps

Now when I do a connection test on PS3 it gives the following stats:

Download Speed: 1.01 Mbps (and lower) Upload Speed: 0.40 Mbps (and lower)

Help needed

[QUOTE="darktaktiX"]

  1. Is 600Hz good? is higher the better or vice versa?
  2. HDTV tuner built in? is it a good option too?
  3. Is Dynamic Contrast Ratio good or not?
  4. Is response time good?
  5. 50" is massive but its 720p. Would it really make a difference at this size?

Thanks

Gregoroth

1. 600Hz isn't the same thing as quoted on LCD's. Ignore it.
3. Dynamic contrast modes should be avoided for an accurate image.
4. A plasma should have extremely high motion resolution.
5. Depends. What is your viewing distance?

5. Would be sitting around 8-9 feet away for gaming and almost 15 ft for movies.

4. Does this model have extremely high motion resolution

(My thread got locked on another board and I was told to post it here. I have gotten quite a few answers. I've only added the specs below to confirm on the TV I am interested in.)

I am upgrading my standard 32"inch TV to a flat screen. I want to enjoy both size and quality of video. And I love to play PS3 and really want to enjoy its graphics. How good is a Samsung C430 50" tv compared to a 40" Full HD LCD. Both cost the same.

The tv I am thinking of buying is:

http://www.samsung.com/us/video/tvs/PN50C430A1DXZA

Its video specs are:

Video

  • 49.9" Screen Measured Diagonally The diagonal length of a TV screen or monitor, as measured in inches from corner to corner.
  • 1,365 x 768 Native Resolution Fixed number of horizontal scan lines on a TV. P (Progressive) means scan lines are drawn in sequence.
  • 2,000,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio Difference in luminosity between brightest color (white) & darkest (black) over time. Higher ratio means more contrast.
  • .001 ms Response Time Speed at which pixels can change color. Lower response times mean better motion image reproduction.
  • 600Hz Subfield Motion Refresh Rate
  • 16:9 Aspect Ratio
  • ConnectShare™ JPEG only Technology that enables a user to access camcorder videos and music libraries directly on a TV screen.
  • Game Mode Mode in which a user can play video games on an LCD television.
  • Anynet+™ (HDMI-CEC) Technology that allows one remote to control all digital devices in a home theater/entertainment system.
  • Auto Channel Search Function that seeks out available channels and automatically programs them for easy cycling.
  • Auto Power Off Function that automatically powers down television to save energy if no signal is present.
  • Auto Volume Leveler Function that caps volume on loud advertisements so that they're more consistent with programming.
  • Clock & On/Off Timer
  • Closed Captioning
  • HDTV Tuner Built-in An internal receiver that enables a TV to utilize Digital Television technology.
  • Sleep Timer
  • V-Chip

  3. Is Dynamic Contrast Ratio good or not?
