Raising the prices up to 70$ is already ridiculous enough. Giants like Activivision, EA and whatnot are still reporting growth and record profits while firing dozens if not hundreds of people but at the same time have the gall to say that game development is too expensive so price increases are "justified".
Gamers are turning into OnlyFans level simps if they can accept 70$ or MORE as standard, smh.
@attirex: Don't really care about this movie one way or another, but how is this gonna flop with a projected 400-ish million WW launch ? This will prolly make a billion without too much trouble.
The only thing they need to commit to is hiring writers that have an IQ higher than 50. Boba Fett, Kenobi, Mando S3 were bad in their own right , but they were still an order of magnitude better than this. I feel sorry for Lee Jung-Jae to have wasted his skills in this narrative abomination.
@ocinom: Except for its basic stealth, "towns" with 20 people in them, dated graphics, etc. I just played GoT on PC and really liked it, but AC worlds are far superior when it comes to rendering of cities and environments. Not to mention the collectathon you do in the game is just like any AC game, except the collectables are lame. I'll give GoT having a great combat system, but it does so only with the katana. Shadows will have multiple weapons and different playstyles across characters.
Just Cause is hardly an iconic video game series. Turning it into a movie it'll just be a generic wacky actioner which has already been done 20 times over.
While the game had its flaws, especially the segments where you had to do story stuff on foot, I still enjoyed it a lot back then. It was much better than I expected for a movie-license game. The atmosphere, vehicle combat, vehicle upgrades and simply driving around was awesome. I wish they made another one and just improve the walking around elements.
@traptedmind: Because LOTR is a proven winner and an iconic IP. Adapting something new is risky, especially a fantasy epic. Studios are allergic to risk, more nowadays than 1-2 decades ago.
