EXACTLY! : users are spending money above and beyond the purchase price of the game in order to get access to something that is already included on the original disc

Since the first moment i read about the Online pass fee... i ve been trying to avoid EA games because i think that: Electronic Arts has no respect at all for consumers. But the real issue is not about waiting to prices go down by 50%... the REAL issue is that online functionality is not a privilege, it should be an obligation from publishers to keep it useful as long as the console does not expires.

I can only speak for myself... This is the very true reason why i WONT BUY 60 dlls priced games ever again. Not only i think they are overpriced, i cant simply afford them anymore, i mean, there was a time when i spent over a thousand bucks only in games in less than 7 months... but that time is over, i preffer to buy games with 1 or 2 years of delay because they are cheapper and mostly, they come with some DLC stuff in them. But mainly, because i feel like an idi..t when this buck-suckers drain me 60... then 8 for the first DLC, then 5... then 15, etc, etc etc... i mean... ask yourselfs gamers... playing is FUN... but its only entretainment... useful things are more worth those 60 bucks... a guitar, a travel, ... get a life! ... is hard to me to say this because i had spent (in the past) complete weeks only playing... but someday you have to open your eyes to the world.

As someone already said once... Everyone wants to be respected... but nobody is offering respect, we only respect what is convenient for ourselves, but we dont really respect other people ideals and ideas I think Carolyn was very brave and honest with this great article.

Good article... after some years of buying recent releases, and a pre-order pack of the Gears of War 2... I finally accepted the fact that, unless the game has a proved-awesome multiplayer experience... i can wait until the price drops down at least half-the price... because it just impossible for me to afford these games at that price... and it´s amazing how the industry´s quality of the game, and quality of the xtra stuff in a special edition... can sometimes be sooooo low.

AWESOME interview!, both in game content (thou i would like have seen maybe his work area, programs he use and stuff, how the sound actually sticks into the layout) as also is great as an inspirational talk for sound designers... I think Sound Byte made a GREAT job (this is the first interview i see) the approach this interview magnificently. I can´t even found the words to decribe it. THANK YOU.
