gladiator just had an overall better story... and it told it better. it was much more epic, and the academy recognized that when it won best picture in 2000(?). The 300, while highly entertaning, just doesn't have the same level of epicness that Gladiator has

I would have to disagree. I work at A&F and there are quite a few minorities working there; and now, they arn't just working in the back, many are brand reps. In fact my manager is asian...
i believe badaboom187 is referring to the controversy that occured a few years ago with the catalog's lack of people other than whites as well as the certain stores which did other than what your particular store does. it's true that the quarterly predominantly features whites...but i doubt it has much to do with race rather than sales.
exactly. it all comes down to sales. white people buy the clothes primarily... white people relate better with white people... its all psychological.... every store does it... they hire poeple that shop there.
