The bottom shot looks a lot better than the top one. There's better textures and lighting, but I'd have to agree about the explosions. Still, I have to give these guys the benefit of the doubt until it's in its final build.trifuzion

As far as I can see neither look as good as everyone was saying, they're both just dull and jaggedy, I just think there are more impressive effects in Resistance than in Gears, like the glass breaking (greatest thing EVER.) and the the way the barricades fall apart and the space age walls made up of hexagonal glass bits look kinda cool.

are you playing on an LCD? they make the jaggies more noticable, sorry for double post
