Put the side of the case back on and take it back to the store..
Is this the first time you've ever bought a faulty item?
soren008
Yes
The noise seemed to be coming from the top where the 500w PSU is
And the CD-rom
I don't know - guess I'll wait for monday right ?
Thanks I just wanted to play Skyrim but the computer crashes every 3 minutes
Is it a faulty product ??
Is updating the motherboard and the graphics card and the operating system is that important? in the right order ?
thanks anyhow
It doesn't matter what order you install the drivers.Best bet is taking it back to the place you bought it, i wouldn't risk touching anything. But i can't think of any reason why it would shutdown in 3 minute increments, only thing i can think of would be a half broken PSU or something wrong in the BIOS.
If your up for it, you could try resetting the BIOS via the CMOS jumper on your mobo, but i wouldn't recommend touching anything since the whole computer is under store warranty (i assume)
good luck.
Also, would it be worth upgrading to 8GB RAM?Chris_53if you have spare cash, sure. but it won't give you much of a performance increase, if any at all. Try turning some settings down and telling us what FPS you're getting.

Well, its pretty simple. Just look to see if their are 4 modules of ram located in the DIMM slots.
If their is only 3, well they must have forgotton to put a stick in (in this case, never buy from them again)
If their is the complete set, one of the sticks must be malfunctioning.
Either way, i would take back the PC where you got it from and get it fixed.
How can you call a computer using intergrated graphics a gaming rig?
That will probably have trouble running games on low.
