New sounds?

I know it's very small and rather insignifigant, but in "The Headband" there are a lot of new sound effects. In the past two seasons, all the sounds have been the same. Maybe they have invented with new foaly items or combonations? I noticed especially in the scene when the Gaang are getting their clothes. And when the Gaang are in the town and Aang gets 'enrolled' there is new music. There hasn't been new music in a while! just pointing that out. ;)

Well that's weird...

DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED "THE HEADBAND"

At the end of "The headband" when
aang escapes and and earthbends the exit shut, the only reaction from the other student is a :o face.
But i think there should have been a bit more of a reaction. I mean come on! he
eathbended right in front of them!
dont you think that the student will/would report this? but the episode does not elaborate, and there is no mention of it. well that's weird.

Avatar: The Last Airbender vs Danny Phantom

There has been a lot of controversy of which is the "better" show. Of course, these debates take place on the forums; either on Avatar or DP, meaning that it is always lopsided. But I am here to speak the unbiased truth. I have watched my fair share of both shows. Avatar is simply a better show. Avatar is a series with developement, whereas Danny Phantom, the characters never develop. Therefore, there is no "Oh, I can't wait to see how much Danny has matured" or "I can't wait to see if Danny and Sam hook up" because, if they did, the show would suddenly become a series, and the TV stations would no longer be able to air episodes at random. Some people try to decide by how much action there is in a show. This is NO way to judge a show. It's all about 1) development, 2) cliffhangers, and 3) relationships. In Avatar, Aang has developed immensely, from being a frightened airbender to a powerful nearly-realized Avatar. While Danny stays as an adolecent child with ALL the SAME problems in EVER SINGLE EPISODE. Nothing changes in DP. It's bad guy comes along, danny fights him to some personal loss, then everyones happy in the end. But with Avatar, there's no telling where the story is going. Which brings me to 2) cliffhangers. Because Danny Phantom is not a series-style show, there is no real draw to watching the next episode besides that you may like the show. With Avatar, An episode can leave you shaking the TV screaming "WHY WHY WHY" while it calmly tells you that you'll have to wait til next time. 3) Relationships, in a sense, are just another part of Development. But Relationships are so important, I will give them a speel of their own. Relationships are a huge part of character development. In Danny Phantom, the most Danny and Sam get to is finding themselves in an embarrasingly sensual situation, which the solve by smiling at one another and blushing. CMON. In Avatar, there are plenty of kissing and straightout relationship development. Aang and Katara go from being fellow benders to student and teacher to close friends to a peck here and there to - well, we don't know yet. But that's part of the magic! We don't know yet because of the cliffhangers and the series-style. Therefore, my vote goes to Avatar: The Last Airbender over Danny Phantom.

What's In It For Toph Be Fong?

Toph's time to shine is over. She has taught Aang earthbending well, but now what? Will she continue to be a major character, or will she drop back into the shadows? She doesn't act as a mentor for Aang, that's Katara's job. She is not emotionally fixed on Aang, and that little "Oh Sokka, you saved me!" only lasted one episode. (The Serpants Pass) Katara is a major character, even after she finished teaching Aang waterbending, because she is a close friend (and possible romance) to Aang. The only role i see for Toph is groupie. (who can fight).

Season 3

I just finished watching the season 3 preview on YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wPuVrMdG0qY&mode=related&search=) and it is AMAZING. Maiko (or Zumai) shippers rejoice. Aang gets hair, Katara is a waterbending god (just my opinion), Zuko goes home, Iroh is a prisoner, Sokka is a kick-ass warrior, toph is as powerful as ever, and we get to see into Avatar Roku's life. :o I just want to watch it again and again and again.... If you have not seen it yet, well... you suck. haha just kidding ;) but you better get on it. And what i see only strengthens my theory of Aang's firebending teacher, at least the part about it not being Zuko. And the music. O THE MUSIC!!! I absolutely love the avatar music. Am I the only one who gets shivers everytime i hear the crescendo? 'Scuse me, but I'm gonna go watch it again. ;)

Aang's Firebending Teacher

The choice is very clear.

Iroh is the only sensible choice to teach Aang firebending. Jeong Jeong vanished, Shyu vanished, and Zuko?  thats just laughable. that kid is in way to much turmoil to do anything right now. he just betrayed Iroh, taking sides with Azula. he feels as if his honor has been restored. theres no way he will risk everything he ever wanted to teach the Avatar. Iroh already has helped the Gaang. he knows that balance needs to be restored in the world. he knows how to teach, knows the importance of being calm and NOT in turmoil *coughcoughzukocoughcough*

so all you Zuko fans, sorry. not gonna happen.
