E3 Grading

This blog is basically my views on what was show at this years E3 (nothing really to go crazy over).

Microsoft Conference =C-

Nintendo = C+

Sony = C

My views on this years E3 were kinda like this....It was boring! they showed to much of the same thing (although they did show some new stuff). What i was most impressed with was the WiiZapper, the Mario Kart Wiil, and WiiFit.(mosty impressed because there's something new) Other then that everything else just...will blended together....there were way to many shooters and the PSP...is will...really lame -_-

Is Sonic Out for Good?

The origin

Back in June 23, 1991 a new Game mascot was created for Sega to go against Nintendo's Mario. His name was Sonic the Hedgehog created by artist Naoto Oshima, designer Hirokazu Yasuhara and programmer Yuji Naka. Saga wanted to create a game that would sell millions and a character to replace Alex Kidd. Several designs were made for this character including an armadillo; a dog that was an over sized Theodore Roosevelt in pajamas (later became the design for Dr. Eggman), and a rabbet. Eventually Naoto's hedgehog design (nicknamed Mr. Needle nose) was chosen and sonic was born. A group of people then started on the first game (later on known as team sonic).

The original design of sonic by Naoto was short and child like with short quills and a round body. It was then changed in 1998 with the release of Sonic adventures for the Dreamcast. He was redesign by Yuji as a taller character with longer lags and a less circular body and longer spikes. This version is pretty much my favorite out of all the Sonics.

The down fall

Even though the first few Sonics in 3D were critically good they still had there flaws with Sonics speed making it hard for the camera to keep up and the controls know to be very federating at times. Many other 3D Sonics have come out since them each more disappointing then the last. Although they still came out with Great 2d sonic games for the hand held's that were received great scores critically because of there good game play. The problem with the 3D Sonics was that they moved to far away from their roots to fast. The games were no longer about speed and collecting rings but about a bad camera and shooting (as seen in Shadow the Hedgehog ewww!:?). But there was a new sonic game for the Wii (known as the best sonic game ever) breathing new life into the franchise and somewhat of a stop to the disappointment games that came out over the years.

The hatred

Most of the hatred towards the sonic is pointed to Team sonic because of their lack of work there putting in on the new sonic games. It seems like there pulling them out of their Asses. But don't get me wrong they still come out with a good sonic game (the 2D versions and collectors editions) every once in a while. But they keep changing the whole concept to the Sonic franchise, which is to go fast and collect rings. They keep adding stupid and pointless things like guns (as seen in Shadow the Hedgehog) and stealth missions, which have nothing to do with sonic.

The idea

With all the disappointing sonic games coming out, the best thing to do is to go back to the roots the franchise and stop adding **** to it. No more guns, no more pointless missions that have nothing to do with sonic, just make him go fast and collect rings, it's not that hard! And don't add new crappy characters like Big the Cat just keep it around sonic or at least the good characters (Shadow was one until the release of that peace of crap "Shadow the Hedgehog"!).

Diablo: The Eternal Darkness (part 2)

Chapter 2

The First Level.

As I entered the corrupted church I notice the brick walls that were worn down with the villagers blood and the low light, not being able to see in front of me was not good...not good at all. I made sure I kept close to the walls and leaned behind carefully to see what I was up against. Knowing that this place could hold unspeakable monsters that could tear me to shreds I would have to be on guard for anything. I walked forward until I came to a large room with a bright light in the center. In the center of the light was a large wooden chest.

"Could this be a trap?" I thought.

Will it won't hurt me to find out...but I best be on my guard. As I stepped to wards the chest I started to hear a voice coming from within. The chest was shaking as if the person was tied up. When I reached the chest I stood on the side to make sure it wasn't a trap. I put my shield close to my face to be prepared, and to my surprise it was a woman. Her eyes looked at me with excitement.

"You must have been in here for a while" I said.

I quickly took off the cloth around her mouth so she could breathe better.

"Thank the Heavens!!" She said.

"How did this happen?" I asked.

"I was one of the solders sent to destroy the Butcher. When we entered the church I got separated and then surrounded by a large group of goblins." she said

"Odd for them not to kill you?" I said.

"True. But I'm just glad I'm alive!" she said with frustration.

I then helped untie the rope that was tying her up. I notice she was wearing studded leather along with a bow and a reaper on her belt.

"OH! I'm sorry I believe we haven't introduced each other yet. I'm Alice...and you?" she said.

"I'm Oyar of Kurast. I have been sent on a task to kill this Butcher." I said.

"Hmmm. Maybe... Maybe" Alice said.

There was a long pause before she said anything else.

"Will you look to be a paladin? So maybe you can defeat him... But I will help to make sure you actually do!"

"Are you sure about that? Look what happened to you the first time..." I replied.

"WHAT!!! Are you saying I can't do this!" Alice screamed.

"Sorry... I mean not to offend you... It's just..."

"Just what!" Alice replied.

"Never mind..." I said

"So I'm coming with you?" She asked.

"...I guess so." I told her.

"Good. Now lets get going," She said.

We started to walk down a long dark hallway when we started to hear some footsteps behind. To our surprise it was a large group of goblins. Could these be the same goblins that tide up Alice? I thought.

"Are these the ones from before?" I asked.

"I'm not sure... There was on goblin there that was like a leader. It had large suit of armor." She replied.

"ATTACK!!!" one of the goblins screamed.

"Will know time to figure out now!" I said.

The goblins charges at us like maniacs with swords flailing in the air. Alice quickly took out her long bow and fired at the front row of goblins charging. I charged at them killing what little remained. Limbs flying off and bodies hitting the ground, within a few short minutes the battle was over.

"That was simple!" Alice said.

"Will... For now..." I told her.

"These could have just been grunts. Who knows what else will face in her. So be on your guard!" I said.

"True." she replied " we were very lucky that they were week and not some of the top creatures after us!"

"Will we got to move on if were going to destroy this creature" I said.

As we walked deeper into the church the sent of decaying bodies grew stronger and stronger. The walls had a thick layer of blood on them. I had a strong feeling that there is more to this then this Butcher. Like a great evil was lurking deep under the grounds of Tristram. Although I wasn't sure of it at the time, I must ask the villages once I finish this.

"Quickly we must make haste!" I said.

"Alright. But it won't be easy." Alice said.

After that small talk we decided to run to the next level fighting and killing monsters here and there and dodging traps and other foul things that were in this chapel. Eventually as we were dodging the last of the traps we made it the entrance to the second level to the Chapel. To where the Butcher resigned and cause mayhem to what ever it could get its hands on!

"We should stop and rest before we go down there. Who knows what could be waiting for us!" Alice said.

"Your right. We should also make sure we have enough supplies so that we can survive as will." I told her.

As we finished planning and making sure we were prepared for what laid done on the second level. We could only hope that we make it out in one piece. Cause ... I have a feeling that something horrible is going to happen by the end of this adventure.

Diablo: The Eternal Darkness

Chapter 1

The Town.

When I arrived at Tristram it was a dark and dreary night. The air smelt of blood and burning flesh and the Town's folk kept close to their houses and away form the worn down church. When walking in to town I was often stared at as if I didn't belong but when talked to them they spoke kind of heart and helped in anyway possible...mostly for a fee. They told me of the church that was now a corrupted place where only the foulest of creatures lived. They told me of Diablo the lord of Destruction and how he has cursed there land destroying whatever was good. When I packed what little supplies I had, I headed out to the corrupted church to see what I could do to help.

When I came to the entrance I came upon a body lying in front of the entrance. Wounded in a pool of his own blood. He was barely alive only hanging on a thread of life. When I asked him "what of had happen to you?" He told me of a great monster known as the butcher. "We sent down dozens of men to stop him...but only for them to fall to there deaths." Then with his last breath he told me to see the town Black Smith Griswold, and then lay there with no movement at all. "You will be avenge," I said.

I then returned to town to talk to Griswold to learn more about the "butcher". I found him in the northeast end of town across from the tavern of the rising sun. He was a kind looking man with a mustache and no hair. He wore a tattered apron with black smudges over it. I walked over slowly and asked if he was Griswold. He said "yes" and then asked what "business I had with him?"

"I need to know more of the Butcher," I said.

"The butcher?" Griswold said. "Why would you want to know about that foul creature?"

"I have come to destroy it!" I said.

"Hmmmm, will your going to need better armor then those rags you have on." Griswold said.

"Will I haven't any gold ... so how will I pay for it?"  I said.

"Not a problem." "Its on me"

He then handed me some chain mail and a shield to go with my sword to give me a better chance of living. Quickly I ran back to the church to destroy this monster when Peppin the town healer stopped me.

"Here stranger take these potions just in case!"

"Thank you" I said.

"And if you ever need some healing talk to me. Ill gladly help you!"

"Thank you yet again," I said.

"Fair will stranger and good luck... You'll need it."

As I walked towards the church again I notice upon a small boy with one leg.

"What happen to you boy?"

"That dam Butcher is what happened!" he replied.

"He came out?!" I asked.

"No. I was searching in the church for some rear items to sell when I came across him. I tried to run but I wasn't able to make it in time and lost my leg because of it."

"Will then I must be going." I said.

"Were are you going?" the boy asked.

"To kill the Butcher and free this town from those retched creatures!"

"... You'll be a dead man!" he told me.

"Nothing can stop that beast... Its impossible!"

After a slight pause I turned back to the church and said. "Nothing is impossible" and walked of towards the entrance. As I walked off I heard the boy whisper "... I sure hope so..."

As I walked closer to the church I couldn't help to feel like I'm in for a bigger ride then I thought... But that was only a feeling... When I finally made it to the entrance and looked in all I could see was the cold darkness of the church and a smell of death in the air.
