[QUOTE="Led_poison"]How exactly does Nvidia>ATI when ATI is just pushing back the realease date on its products?GermanShepard06

cuz nvidia will be ahead by far in dx10 video cards.

Nvidia has yet to release any final vista compatable drivers for any of their video cards... They are not ahead at all. infact... they are still behind.

lol from the trailer it looks like the game hasn't changed visually at all in 5 years.

Whats with the stupid exloping effects that appear whenever they punch its the same stupid effect pasted on the screen each time. You can all see the jagged edges of the polygons on their arms which tells me they are not using AA at all and the models are still strangely low poly... which doesn't make sense at all because theres only 2 main models on the screen!!! youd think they would have high poly counts each.. but i guess not.

To me at least it looks like they are designing it for arcade machine limitations and then making it work on ps3, thats the only explanation i have for why the game looks like that.

he asked which has more MONEY, not revenue or profits....

And its widely known that MS sits on 10+ billion in cash. So MS wins.

My guess is motorstorm can be broken down into this:

1% code

10% textures and models

89% sound and padding (uselesss data placed on disk to help speed up load times)

I think if the FF7 trailer was just cloud by himself before he had any materia, any items, or any people in his group it would have looked just as dull.

360's dont magically scratch your disc's you have to move it. And the new console you get will scratch your disc too if you move it aswell. Its the same DVD drive and it doesn't hold the DVD'd very well in place so it will have the exact same problem.

BTW moving = bumping/jerking aswell, just because you didn't walk up and shake it doesn't mean you didn't move it by like pulling on a cord to hard or something.

I think you should be happy they replaced your entire console... when in fact what your SUPPOSE to do is take the game back to where you bought it and get a replacement for free.... but whatever...

imagine your computer scratching a disk and asking DELL to replace your entire computer... the CS would laugh so hard at you for even suggesting it.

Definitely an interesting read. Who didn't see Madden at #1? I'm strangely fascinated at the revenues for the games. Given that even some of the lowest selling games made $10 million, I wonder how much it actually costs to develop and release a game. Since they are revenue, I'm also curious about the amount of profit brought in from the games.DrHyde

$10 million in revenue... X copies sold * Y sticker price = revenue.

Then you gotta deduct whatever markup places like EB games puts on the games (they gotta make money too)... deduct advertising, packaging... then finally development cost.. and before you know it they are loosing money.

Its a good game but not "the best ever". the dungeons got boring after awhile and I had to force myself to complete it, especially if i couldn't figure out what to do. I dont have any memorable moments really from the game that i look back on and say wow that was soo awesome. And once i beat it I never played it again so it doesn't really have any replayability.

Honestly, FOR ME, i dont think anygame without multiplayer can be the greatest game of all time... cause honestly without multiplayer ill just play it once and forget about it. And multiplayer has many many more memorable moments.... even games like mario bros 3 where u could battle ur friend with the big POW brick in the middle of the screen i use to play for hours just playing tag (making him bounce meant he was "it") with my brother on that stage... so much fun.. lol.
