None of them sounded that appealing to be honest... all been there done that. Out of them all I guess Rome 2.

My dream for the series is to one day have a TW game set during WWII where you can play as one faction on a global scale where the real time battles are a lot broader in scope and the diplomacy plays a much larger role. It will be a while before the average computer is capable of such a game but it would be incredibly fun. Theres a long list of scenarios that I can think of that would be incredibly fun to play out.

I mean think about it... if there was ever any one conflict deserving of 'Total War' status it was WWII without a doubt.

You cant play WWII with the system TW uses of moving regiments around. And a game already exists from your description, its call Company of Heros. Or if you want diplomacy then play the new Hearts of Iron.

Like I said in my other post obviously the way battles play out would have to revamped. CoH is nothing like the game I described it's a small scale story based RTS, only similarities beings its genre and setting.

Hearts of Iron is too complicated and comes across as a chore rather than an entertaining game, the lack of real time battles make confrontations rather anticlimactic not to mention you can't really use superior strategy to win against a stronger force.

Anyways I'm a big total war fan but the series is really starting to stagnate and I think them doing something new would be really nice especially a conflict that really shaped the world we live in today and is still in living memory.

A WWII game would be do-able, but would be the hardest

Rome 2 or Shogun 2, if they keep the sequel close to the original, it should be another hit. And if Napoleon:Total War counted as a full game, the next game should have a new engine. Should give them enough time to create a decent AI and features.

Both for medieval 2, but primarily because I like the more modern era than Rome.

lol, where did that come from?

Sparticus247

Look at his username, it explains everything

true, but it almost sounded like he games on SLI, not PC lol. Don't think that's what he meant but that's what I got from it.:P

Haha, I thought that too On topic though: If they released halo 3 on PC (with all DLC) in a few months how many units do you think would be sold? My guess is not enough to make it worth it

I really enjoyed both, but with WiC it felt just like unit spamming (spawn tanks, if they get destroyed no worries, wait abit and you'll be able to spawn them back!). I don't really play MP, but the few games of COH were pretty fun, WiC was either a nuke fest or noob-kicking. I really did enjoy World in Conflict ;)
