MELTING? lol wtf call Nintendo and ask for a new one (one that doesn't melt, lol). I never heard of a wii melting though. I know people who have left a PS2 on for MONTHS and nothing happening to it, and when it comes to cooling down or airing out the insides of a console, the PS2 was the WORST. Your wii might be defective. Call nintendo.
Oh yes and racers also look very fun for the Wii. Ok another issue though. I hear they are hard to get ahold of now because one of the companies who make the parts got into a lawsuite (lol I dont even know if this is true). So will I even be able to get ahold of one or is that just something nintendo said to get people to buy them sooner?

You might be thinking about the faulty wrist straps that were snapping upon people carelessly swinging the wii remote. Well nintendo has fixed the problem as of several months ago. There hasn't been any trouble in manufacturing the wii since.
However this does not mean you might have a bit a tough time getting your hands on a wii. They're selling out everywhere instantly. I had to camp ou 10 hours outside best buy to be 9th in line for my wii. Freezing cold lol. But I got my wii. Btw this was ONE MONTH after release. I believe people are still waking up early (6am) and waiting outside stores who are getting shipments every week. It's not so much as camping anymore than it is waiting in your car for a couple of hours.
Regardless, the wii is one of the most durable consoles created. Youtube some videos about people trying to break a wii. Videos about putting a wii remote in a blender for 5 mins on hihgh power. Barely a scratch. Lol.
Silly fanboys calm yourselves. Nothing is killing hardcore gaming. Whether or not the wii succeeds or fails, you'll get your shooters. Scoot scoot. Move a long now.
Wow from the description of your situation I say go for it. The wii has some nice platform/puzzles like Super Paper Mario. Adventure/Puzzle games like Zelda. Theres a first person shooter/adventure (metroid prime 3) coming in august. And a lot of other soon to be released titles that give the wii a bright future. There are some decent games out right now like excite truck and madden 07, but nothing to go nuts over.
Dont quit gaming. Just take it less seriously, like a hobby. Come on, in 15 years it has gone from 8-bit side scrolling 20 minutes adventures. To games like Gears of War, Zelda, Final Fantasy. We've entered a new age of motion sensing now. KEEP WITH IT!
People are sayins if the PS3 gets a price cut, Nintendo and MS will respond with a price cut of their own. My question is, how much lower can the wii price get? 199.99 for a current gen console? That's like a freaken PS2...and PS2's are STILL selling...better than the PS3 even. If somehow the big N can afford to drop the wii price to 199.99 (which I don't see happening), they will definately have this gen in the bag.
The answer is 26.8. That is a right angle triangle (if not, it's VERY close to one) therefore the hypotenuse (x) can NOT be the same length as the two adjacent sides. So the 'trick' here is just a flaw in the diagram. The little line indicating x is equal to the 2 adjacent sides is impossible, because it is a property of a right angle triangle that the hypotenuse cannot be equal in length to any of the individual adjacent sides. It is ALWAYS longer.
