@reBOOT2099: which character is best for a newbie? Best answer is to pick them and go into practice mode and try them out. Or pick each character once and go through arcade mode. It'll give you a basic idea of how each controls. Once you find one or maybe two that you like their play style then you concentrate solely on them until you elevate from rookie to at least intermediate level with them.
Now the jump from intermediate to advanced level with a character can take some time, going from advanced to professional......... well that depends on if you're willing to dedicate your life to it.
@superbuuman: while I don't know about propping up the other guy part but it's nothing but just marketing for the game to give people something to talk about for a few days.
Some casual out there is gonna watch or hear about this & think to himself that if he buys the game he can go online and start beating pros that have played the game since street fighter 2.
Then when that ass gets a beat down they'll learn.
Fighting game genre is one that requires A LOT of time effort, dedication to get good at on just a normal level. Not even talking about pro level.... that's a whole diff level
If ANYone believes this.......................... I have bridge to sell to you.
This would be like me training for a couple weeks and then go challenge someone in something they've practiced at on high professional level and then win.
I could believe this more if
1. It was just some casual dude off the street he played against.
2. It wasn't someone like Daigo who is top tier level.
@Shadowscreem: but only if you're dumb enough to buy it. In fact if a person is dumb enough to buy it that person should be arrested for a committing a crime of stupidity
