That's a good base unit that you are getting there. But if you are comfortable with building your own rig, definitely build and don't buy pre-built PCs. I understand that but I had such a crappy computer that I dont think I could have even upgraded the thing it was Windows ME 2000 40GB hard drive Intel Celeron 800Mhz and 128MB a PCI motherboard. I mean you cant be worse than this, it was atrocious.

Well your not going to get a good graphic card in any computer unless you dish out about 2000$ or more I never look at the graphics card when buying a computer, because your always going to get a crappy one, graphics cards are things you have to upgrade yourself.

Well I am going to add more RAM and buy a 8600 Ultra and a nice PSU and I think I am set, for the CPU I think the 3800 will be good for couple of more years then I will upgrade that too.

Well I needed to change my computer because the last one was prehistoric. So I decided not to dish out 1000+ on a mediocre system, so I saw this computer that costed 650$ HP it had a AMD X2 3800 processor 1024 MB memory and 250GB hard drive i added a 19 inch LG monitor for 45$ it has Windows Vista home premium. So it came out at 700$. This PC was mainly to get into Vista and DX10 I wanted  something cheap so I can upgrade it myself..

Why do they always keep on talking about the PS3 potential graphics down the road and games looking amazing on both system and the producers are only sctraching the surface. I mean they both use good GPU's but outdated so I dont see games looking better than Gears on Xbox I was surprised the producers could milk the xenos that much..
