Hey all,
I have a headset from back in 2006 that I've been trying to use for some audio production purposes, however, when I plug it into the computer I can't adjust the volume on either the headset or doing it over the computer.
I have looked into the driver, and I am using a generic microsoft driver that automatically installs when you plug in the device, however, when I go to the plantronics site there isn't any drivers that support my operating system (Vista), and also, they assure me that the microsoft driver does just fine on the Vista operating systems.
Any time I try to turn down the volume whether it be in the audio production program or manually using the computer, the headset still doesn't seem to register the change in volume. Even when the volume is on 0 in either program it will still be very loud.
I know this is kind of a stretch to ask this board, but I'm kinda desperate. :( Thoughts? Ideas?
Thanks.
Plantronics DSP headset.
Hey,
Is there any chance of a 3D Final Fantasy VII port?
Hey,
I'm just curios why people out there decide to play Guild Wars over World of Warcraft if cost is not a factor. I don't care that one is an MMO and one is an ARPG.
I have played both games and must say they are both worthy of being played for endless hours; however, Guild Wars is my top choice.
1. Easy accessibility. I can get in and out without spending hours on end.
2. All classes are different, and the game is set up so it is relatively easy to enjoy them all without being max level.
3. The style. There seriously isn't anything out there like it.
1. Dragon Age: Origins.
2. Killzone 2
3. Demon's Souls
4. Warhawk
5. Little Big Planet 2
Hmm, well it looks like a great card, actually. Everything I'm looking for. Large fan, no heat issues, runs fine. My question is, will this card work in a smaller area? (I don't have that much room in my motherboard to keep Graphic cards, so they must be small'ish)
After reading some reviews on the Geforce 9500 GT, it appears the fan is an issue. So, can anyone reccomend me a graphics card on par with this graphic card that is more dependable and in the range of 50-60 dollars?(newegg)
Alright, I took out the graphics card, and to my suprise, the fan underneath it has stopped working. The one in the heatsink. It appears I'm going to need to get a new graphics card (I'm not sure why it stopped).
So, two questions.
1. Is there a way to fix the fan once it has stopped? (It appeared to have stopped because dust was blocking it; however, its not going now that the dust is gone)
2. If I were to get another graphics card it would either be a Geforce 9500 GT, or a Radeon hd4650. I am leaning towards the Geforce; however, the graphics card that just had its fan die was a Geforce 9500 GT. If its prone to this issue, then I will probably go to the Radeon.
If it helps I have a Inspiron 530, 350 watts, and a PSI-EX.
Hey,
About a few weeks ago my computer dropped its video drivers, and I was forced to download newer drivers from the Nvidia website. Almost right after I downloaded the new drivers, my computer began acting up. The only issue is, the drivers won't update. I basically download the new drivers, but something is preventing them from updating.
Any time I would enter a game, the screen would say (Analog input: Entering Power Save mode), and the sound would repeat a stuttering sound. During this time the screen would go fully black, the screen monitor would turn from blue to orange, and the only way I could fix it was to reboot the computer.
Finally, I opened up the computer and found that the graphics card was very hot. Almost to the point of melting. I kept the computer open while blowing a high powered fan into it and the computer has been working fine.
My question is. Does this sound like a cooling issue, or has the graphics card fried? I'm assuming the graphics card burned out; however, the games still work when its cooled off. (I'm not sure if the computer would be even playing if it was fried)
Also, if the graphics card is fried, will that prevent drivers from downloading/ updating? Or, will it throw out drivers if it fries (What happened when all of this began)?
