The game is all about skill. Sure, it's possible for the best racer to not finish in first place in any given race, but if you play a grand prix or tournament, the best players will rise to the top every time.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of stats, ability to talk with people online or at the very least friends, and the roster is pretty lame. I really hope they come out with some new character dlc or something.

Other than that, great game. Lots of fun.

@dennysinny: First of all, most people agree that MK8 is still a great game and one of the most hyped games of 2014. Both MK8 and SSB4 have been receiving similar amounts of hype and can potentially have similar amount of sales. It can be argued that Smash Bros is hyped more, but who knows how the earlier 3DS version will affect the Wii U version's sales.

Secondly, you keep calling people "fanboys" during the most random and unrelated situations. It will not insult or offend anyone here.

Finally, telling someone to stop complaining about your complaint is hypocritical. In fact, complaining about people's complaints is something to be expected in these forums. We will argue, debate, and discuss the content of the topic. You complained about getting hit by many items and the game being unbalanced when every MK game before it did the same thing. It's one of the few ways we can have a discussion in a topic like this.

Agreed man, the worst part for me was that the story no longer tried to hold together. You can do all the stupid stuff you want in the fight scenes (well sorta with a show like dbz), but if the scenes that tie the fights together make no sense people won't ready care about the outcome. Nor will they will feel any tension during the fight for that matter.

Anyway, you can't make a claim and then lay the burden of proof on others. That's not how intelligent people communicate.

Yea, I loved those three channels up until around 2006, just about everything that was created after that doesn't interest me. Shows like Rocketpower, Powerpuff Girls, Kids Next Door, Dexters Laboratory, Rugrats, 90s Kenan Kel, Kim Possible & Avatar were the staples of my childhood, oh well. Today across those three channels I only Korra and even that's not nearly as good as the original series.

I actually love that change. I remember playing Mario Kart Wii online and we played Luigi's Circuit 6 times in a row because everyone else kept voting for it. You can no longer do that now. :P

It seems like as technology got better, shows got worse. There's so much lack of originality too.
