I think this is very possible and I'll tell you why, first of all Bungie have'nt been rushed this time and that means lot's of polish. Also an almost unlimited budget and a huge, talented and experienced dev team make this I think a dead cert for GOTY and a contender for best game this generation, what do you think?.CrazyAssJack
I have a great idea. Lets not have any more greatest game threads until the game comes out. I mean it could possibly be the greatest game ever, but then again, they could screw it up bigtime. In many cases, people try to overinnovate at the expense of popular features. Lets wait and see.

absolutely. They have moved into the age of next gen games. If they screw this up, their franchise is not ever going to be as successful as it once was. If people have the 60 bucks to put on a video game, they have to have the money to buy an HDD from amazon, so don't buy the next crappy game you buy and get the HDD and lets play some next gen GTAIV

Rockstar should just develop GTA IV for people ONLY with an HDD - and forget that 1%-2% of people that are ruining it for the rest of us.
I thought it was pretty much fact that they were similar, with the PS3 slightly more powerful than the 360, but we just love it cause we love xbox and hate sony. I thought that was the consensus during the console wars
Gizmodo or Engadget, I forgot which, did a comparison test today with HDMI Vs. Component of premium and elite 360s on a 46in 1080p screen. They found no difference whatsoever. Well, thats not true. They said that the blacks in the HDMI were blacker, but they needed a microscope. Just thought you should no.
i'm fairly certain you are wrong. however, if they did do it, it would be as a special edition. No way they would make the only version of GTAIV need an HD DVD drive. With that said, if they made a special version and sold it for 80 bucks, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
I also have no problems with mine. I have a launch day 360, a 27in LCD and a 42 in EDTV, and I hook up with component or VGA. DVDs have always looked great, in fact better, than my stand alone sony DVD player.
