The wii may have outsold the PS3 for the month of May, but it is not outselling the PS3 by a large margin. The sales as of May 25~31 are both below 20k. The PS3 has outsold the wii spanning from February (and perhaps even January) to April. It's highly doubtful that recent wii sales will have tipped the scales already. The PS3 has definitely outsold the wii for 2009 in Japan. At the same time, yes its very possible for the Wii to outsell the PS3 for 2009 in the end. However, the wii seems to have lost its fad status and it's sales have seriously deflated in Japan. What we're seeing now is true competition between the consoles, so with Final Fantasy XIII looming around the corner there's certainlya chance of PS3 outselling the Wii in Japan for 2009.

At the same time, the PS3 will never take the wii in worldwide sales, or at least not any time soon.

A bigger problem than pride over sales is that Sheep do not effectively hype their library. They simply hype everything, and make long lists of mediocrity littered with quality in order to make it seem like the tables are turning for their system. Now while no one can really say that nintendo isn't making an effort this gen with the announcement of a second mario game and a new metroid, the wii still has a lot of catching up to do and sheep are fooling themselves if they think that the wii's 3rd party lineup is anything to brag about.
