So I think that after MGS2, Snake went back to the ruins of the fortress for some reason.Star650
dude- shadow moses was completely destroyed- remember it was bombed...so no it cant be between mgs2 and 4, its basically him having a dream that he is back there- and because of the fact that he is wearing the suit in the chopper he is dreaming wearing it. also- its not exactly a real location- its definitely a dream, he arrives there from a path that never existed.
I think you need to play the game again, because Shadow Moses didn't get bombed, it was called off after Campbell got in touch with the president who at that time was George Sears(Solidus Snake)
If I remember correctly from reading In The Darkness Of Shadow Moses, it was actually Richard Ames and The Patriots who called off the bombing after Jim Houseman gave the bombing orders without their approval. They were then going to retrieve the data from Revolver Ocelot and use Houseman as a scapegoat for the whole thing.
Well, Campbell said that at the end to Snake by codec, and seeing as Solidus was placed by the Patriots could be the same. I didn't read much about that article, because I played MGS1 and know the story.
I might start MGS2 and read that article because it was a long time ago that I read it.
That's true, Campbell got in touch with the President, but The Patriots knew what Houseman was up to anyway because they were monitoring everything Snake did and said throughout the whole mission (via his injected Nanomachines).
Solidus was already in trouble with the Patriots anyway, since he was actually the one who staged the terrorist's uprising of Shadow Moses. He did this by getting his right-hand man Ocelot (who Solidus did not know was actually an agent of The Patriots until Ocelot revealed it in MGS2) to persuade Liquid to pull off such an event. In the meantime Liquid would think it was his own doing this whole time.
You can read In The Darkness Of Shadow Moses on the web as well. It's a deeper insight into what went on behind the scenes.

Wow, If I'd have done that to one of my folks, they would have shown me the door.
Respect you parents.
[QUOTE="FearTheRain"]Yes,
Simply walk into any EB Games or Gamestop and pay the deposit. I think its $50 or so.
It's set to release the same day as MGS4.

I've called 3 Gamestops for a friend of mine and they aren't taking pre-orders. They say it's going to be too hard to get.
That's what I've been hearing as well. I have to take something back to Gamestop later today, I'll ask them again while I'm there.
[QUOTE="0800_vaughan"]good, why didnt you do that in the first place, back to topic, mgs is a TACTICAL espionage action game as stated on the game box its not supposed to be easy or convienient, its a challenge (tactics) you have to infiltrate the enemy base (espionage), then you have to blow sh*t up (action) and these three themes are what make it such a great game, unlike most games that lose some of their traits to coadhere to the times, and that makes a crap game. mgs is practically the only game that uses its theme in every game, tactics to infiltrate, espionage to take down the enemy and action to keep the story fresh, and for fun. mgs therefore = fun. and as YOU said its all up to your tastes...P08C
i've never played syphon filter before but isn't it kind of the same thing....i know it came out after MGS....but what is it like in comparison to MGS....mechanics and story wise?
also, i think that if the top down view was different the devs could've added a different element to the gameplay to keep it just as challenging.....i just can't stand not being able to see in front of me ESPEICALLY WHEN A BIG ASS M1 TANK IS POINTING IT'S FREAKING CANNON AT ME! I dunno maybe snake is a blind savant tactical genius
The M1 Tank was NOT hard. You can easily make it through that fight without getting touched. Chaff grenades are your best friend.
