I was writing a science fiction for the up coming book fair on my town. One of my boss friends has a publication house and he waned to print my story. I was honored and touched by the emotion that I finally found a writer in me. This was happening six month back when I started my job at Starwood as a designer. I wrote about 60 pages and published 2 first chapters on my msn space. People liked it, specially young people. The story was about a boy and our world, when human is completely dependent on AI............
Guess what, my hard disk crashed and I couldn't get any backup, nothing at all. My heart was crashed too. Tell you what, it's not the story that broke my heart, it was my entire old games and data collections; I stored on that hard disk.
I missed my contract with the publisher as I didn't find the energy to write those 60 pages again. My boss felt embarrassed because of me, so he demoted me to a coordinator. Guess what this time, I quit the job.
Few days back, one of my friend called me and asked, 'Ron, aren't you gonna upload those next chapters ever'. I laughed and told him the story beyond that story. He felt sorry for me and I did too. Not for the story I've been through but for story I never could tell the people I always see happening to our world long after we die.

I always wanted to judge my gaming quality and I had a change last year in WCG (World Cyber Games). I had some experience I never can forget.
First of all, I had to register myself by sending 270 sms as the highest number of sms senders get the chance to play there. Well, I was lucky enough to be selected for playing Fifa 2006. To tell you the truth I didn't play that version of Fifa that well enough. That year I was busy with Knights of Honor and Fifa world cup but not Fifa 06. Anyway, I felt very happy to be selected. Me and my younger brother Roy (who was selected for NFS Underground) went to the spot early in the morning, though our time for playing was at 11.00 am. When I saw other gamers playing Fifa, I though for a while that no one can beat me with this sort of quality of playing. Then comes the second part of the story, my time for the game came up. I sit for the start up and then realized that the key board they gave was barely used and the keys were pretty hard to press. My team was England and opponent's was Brazil. Still when the game started, I scrod a goal with no time and with no time my opponent scrod one back. After the half time I scrod once again though I was having real problem with my key board. People around us shouting like hell and I really got edgy. My opponent scrod another back. I became more edgy after that. The game reached up to extra time. For the first time my opponent went ahead with one goal. I couldn't level it until second half of the extra time. The game reached the tri breaker. I missed the first one (couldn't level the key; it was hard) and got one in my net. People were now cheering me..didn't know why. I scrod the next one and saved the opponent's one. The score leveled again but the final one didn't. I lost the game 4-3. I was very disappointed on me though my brother and even my opponent said that, I played real well. But I thought I played half hearted.
Finally, when I went to the prize giving ceremony; I found my opponent became the finalist and won the final prize. He went to Italy to face the world and for 10000$ prize money. But before he went, he said to me that, I was his best challenger among the five he faced. I said to him that, face you on the next tournament.

Sim city could come up with something like war between the regions. 
Building army with the city is also important. Voting for mayors could 
be cool. Trades could be more complicated and should be some thing 
for different type of production like the transport giant. I can only wish 
for that..

It's been a while that the age of real time strategy game has is under threat. 
City management, trade management and other managerial games are not 
hitting the market as it used do in past. Those golden days are memory now.
Why is the gaming companies have showed down to make games like those. 
Those who are making it are really not up to the mark. I have a collection of 
strategy games which are old and I am being bored playing those. Last time 
I played Knights of honor and that's it. No such thrilling game in new coming 
strategy games. Caesar-IV came with a great voice but I found it less 
interesting than the older versions. I thing the strategy game makers need to 
do a real market research and then start to develop a new one for us. I have 
waited long enough and I can wait few more.
