yea check to see if your sound card has any updates.

start\control panel\device manager\sound,gaming,controllers.

then choose your sound card and click on check for updates if your are using VISTA

if u can wait. wait until black friday or a holiday and buy the stuff from newegg. i have a pretty good gaming pc with a decent rig and that's what i did.
