Repositioning my router allowed me to connect to Xbox LIVE, albeit the connection was fairly slow and weak.

So, it's definitely just a good old fashioned signal strength issue after all.

Do they make more powerful routers, that you can buy? Or upgrade antennae?

My favorite part of racing games is the ability to cruise through really cool and diverse outdoor environments at high speeds. The actual challenge of the racing and car customization and everything else are secondary.

Can anyone recommend the current racing game (on the 360) with the most interesting / detailed / prettiest environments? :P

Why stop something that makes millions? My estiamte is that MW3 will be the best selling CoD and then it will eventually go downhill like Guitar Hero and Tony Hawk. One can only hope though, personally CoD stopped being good after the 4th.

Starting with, or after the 4th?

^ Exactly what I'm wondering... Why is anyone even talking about an awful game? There are so many critically acclaimed games out there, you could spend your entire life playing top-tier games and you'd never run out of games to play... just FORGET about the 3.0/10 titles, haha!

^ Can you explain a little bit further? How were you able to use your PC to get your Xbox online?

Couldn't figure out how to do that... dunno if my router supports that option, actually.

For the record, I found out that the problem was due to low signal strength, which for some reason the 360 seems to be fairly finicky about.

Meh. I'm always embarrassingly terrible in online games anyhow. I can live without Xbox LIVE.

Wired is not an option, sadly. I would have to string an ethernet cable halfway across the house. This just seems like an abysmal failure on Microsoft's part. My Blu-ray player is also on the same piece of furniture, it connects to my wireless network easily, no fiddling required. Once again, I am reminded why I have always avoided Microsoft products in the past.

Also I was thinking of picking up fallout new vegas since I have been hearing new vegas is better then fallout 3, but i'm not sure if I will like it since I didn't really like Oblivion, but I didn't really give it a chance. Is it like Oblivion except with guns?

The whole idea of something like Fallout never really appealed to me. If I want an RPG, I want swords and magic. If I want guns, I just want a traditional FPS.
