It's basically single player vs multiplayer. Crysis Maximum Edition vs Battlefield: Bad Company 2.
Unless you want a game that really takes advantage of your 5850 and stresses it to its limits. I would recommend Crysis Maximum Edition in that case. ;)
I believe that the mouse and keyboard works better for RE5 and Lost Planet. DMC4 is definitely a controller-based game.Is the microsoft xbox controller the best deal to play them with?

You seem to forget that Crysis isnt the typical small level corridor shooter. Huge levels with lots of foliage. If it was a typical linear shooter like Killzone or COD people would have been getting 60 fps a long time ago. Crysis 2 will probably be a linear shooter so your points are moot anyway.[QUOTE="Cranler"][QUOTE="II_Seraphim_II"] You are right. I have no doubt in my mind that CryEngine 3 is superior to CryEngine 2. My problem was with people claiming that Crysis 2 on consoles will be graphics king. Just look at Crysis for PC. How many people are running that game on Max at 60FPS? 2?3? How about when it was released? Nobody. Don't get me wrong, Crysis is a graphical treat and the best looking game out there, but is it a technological feat? Considering on release date practically no one (and even up to this day, few people) can run Crysis at max resolution and get 60FPS with AA and AF on, I would have to say that Crysis isn't exactly the most optimized game out there. It relies heavily on the customizability of the PC. Now the company that made a game that practically no PC could run well when it was released claims they are bringing the graphics king on consoles... Consoles are about finding ways to cut corners and get the same results for less resources, something which Crytek doesn't seem too good at. It is for this reason that I doubted the Crysis 2 = Console Graphics king claims. I mean it's what? 2 years on and people are still bragging about getting 25FPS in Crysis while shooting at things :PII_Seraphim_II
Just Cause 2 isn't linear either, and it runs smooth as butter. Not saying it's as graphically ambitious as Crysis, but still, it's a lot bigger, looks beautiful and runs smooth, and this is on release date. Crysis on the other hand 2 years on and still I brag about my 25FPS :P
The difference between Just Cause 2 and Crysis is that Crysis loads in the ENTIRE level at once. Games like Just Cause 2 and Far Cry 2 divide the world into easier-to-manage bubbles because they don't need events in one bubble to affect another bubble. In Crysis, it's conceivable to shoot down a helicopter from kilometers away and have its wreckage fall on AI that are dynamically patrolling even though you won't encounter them for at least several minutes.Thank you, this is exactly the kind of sane comparison that this thread needed.Mixed nuts...
Crysis 2 is already looking as good as KZ2 in most regards, which is quite a feat considering this is an old tech demo for CE3, and probably representative of the pre-alpha build.
(I resized to these to 75% to fit in the forums better and reduce the severe macroblocking from the Crysis 2 video.)

The media says the game looks amazing,i don't care about some crappy internet screenshots, at the end the people making these kind of threads end up getting owned.TessellationThey might, they might not. But given that every media outlet that has seen the privately-shown Xbox 360 demonstration has heaped praise upon it, they'll most likely get owned quite soon. :P
Are there any others?
