40GB works fine. I've had it for about 19 months now.

Oh Lord. I have 2 Panny plasma tv's and i have never bothered with the "break in" period or calibration. That is just not right at all. They look fantastic right out of the box and still look fantastic today. I used them for very heavy gaming, used them as a pc monitor and watched tons of letterboxed movies and 4:3 standard tv viewing. No burn in, no calibration problems what-so-ever. These are not scary televisions that require you to walk on egg shells just to use them. But to answer the TC question. Panasonic plasma make great televisions. A 720p Panny in the 42 in range is a great value, well under a $800, and would make a excellent choice for movies and video gaming. I dont think you will be able to really tell the difference with 720p or 1080p at that size...i cant. You will get a great tv , wont break the bank,. and you will be able to buy your games.Videodogg
Is that right ? Because the only thing keeping me back from getting a 42" G10 is the possibility that I'd have to take care of it as a mother would for a 2 year old for the first 100 hours or so. Quite frankly, I don't want to have to be concerned about leaving my TV on for 3-4 hours with the same image on or watch movies with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio and worry about image retention afterwards.
I know what you mean. I really enjoy playing the game, but I really suck at it. :)
I've tried to change my NAT type from 3 to 2 in order to connect to MW2 MP (for the record - all other online games work even with NAT 3. MW2 also worked with NAT 3 until a couple of weeks back). I've set up a DMZ, and my PS3 now has a static IP address. I've opened all the ports mentioned in the PS3 manual and the MW2 port as well. When I run an internet connection test, I still get NAT 3. I'm really all out of ideas.
Does anyone have ideas on what I can do ?
EDIT: I still can't connect to MW2 MP, but all other games are fine.

Did you try to google it at all?

Well, I've posted it on the IW forum. Couldn't find a 'support' link on their site.
Definite MW 2 bug:
Earlier on, I had posted about not being able to logon to the MP online portion after updating to 1.04. I had blamed this on my internet connection. Well, it's still not connecting, and moreover, it's also freezing (I need to hard reset my PS3 when this happens) after a certain number of attempts to connect.
Does anyone know where I can contact IW/other authority about this bug ?
Mines fine. Who's your ISP and how fast is your payed for connection? It takes me roughly 3 seconds to join a game, and about 3 seconds again to load it up.
Also, where do you live? Australians are well known to have a bad connection to everyone else.

The thing is - this stuff started only after I downloaded the 1.04 (or something like that) patch.
I get about 1mbps on a good day and I'm from India. I don't really expect a quick connection given my internet speed and location, but what I'm getting right now sorta sucks.
Something similar happened to me yesterday. It froze on the MP lobby. Had to reset it by pressing the touchpad thingy.
Hey,
Does anyone have a problem getting into a game online ? I have to wait for a loooong time in the lobby before I get connected. Most of the time, I can't even connect. Really ruins things.
