3 RRoD's on my brother's xbox. PS3 still going strong 1.5 years in.

I lived in America for about 6 months and got my PS3 (and HDTV) over there. I use a step-up transformer over here just to be on the safe side (america = 110V, India = 220V). My HDTV works fine w/o any add-on though. You shouldn't have too much of a problem.

My 40 GB freezes occasionally when playing Civilization Revolution. Only Civ Rev. It's quite weird...

The only issue I have with my 40 GB (1.5 years old) is that it freezes on Civ Rev every now and then. If I were you, though, I'd get the PS3 Slim, only b/c it's a newer version. Maybe that's not important to you..but it's something that you should consider.

No PS3 game is region encoded. It will work.

Does anyone know ? My dad's going to BKK today and I've asked him to get it. However, if the save games from Fallout 3 don't work, I might have to reconsider.

I'm from India. We don't have a Gamestop over here. As far as I know (I've checked in a few places), no store nearby has a Fallout GOTY game.

I wasn't able to buy the DLC which came out recently on the US PS Store because I had a Japanese disc. I wanted to know whether the GOTY edition will pick up my fallout 3 save games so I don't have to play the whole campaign all over again. Any help appreciated.
