I loved the book Angels and Demons, but the movie was kind of a mixed bag for me. I mean, they didnt change the Plotline much, however I think they did dispose of what made the book so great (such as the twist really wasnt that epic in the movie, and numerous reviewers stated that the film "refused to die" because of the twist). Also, I dont like Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon. I liked the casting otherwise (especially Ewen McGregor), and the way they constructed the Vatican was great. But it really wasnt that great. What is everyone elses thoughts on the Book to Movie Adaption?

If they, the Christians, proved that God was real, there would still be people objecting. However, I think I would probably become a Christian. Although im not entirely sure.
I dont think so. I mean, im a little concerned, but I dont think it will happen. Like isnt the rumour because of the people that created the calender didnt put any years after 2012, but maybe they just couldnt be bothered to lol. Or more realistically, they didnt think we would last that long. But then theres that rumour that it might be the start of the Golden Age or something, so yeah.
Oh thanks for posting the pick, I was wondering what the book was called, I heard about it a while ago.I'll just leave this here...Juggernaut140
- Dan Brown- Angels and Demons, Digital Fortress
- Vikas Swarup - Q and A (Slumdog Millionaire), Six Suspects
- Jodi Picoult - The Tenth Circle, The Pact
- Mark Haddon - A Spot of Bother, The Curious Case of the Dog in the Nightime
- Richard Yates - Revolutionary Road
- Jack Ketchum - The Girl Next Door.
These are all great books, especially A SPOT OF BOTHER, a great family drama/dark comedy. Sorry these werent on your list.
I am rarely creeped out by a movie, but Wolf Creek did a tremendous job. Everything about this movie was believable, the characters, the setting, and just the realism of it. It was brutal and graphic but not in a hack'n'slash way such as Hostel. And it was really brutal. The torture that the characters go through (sorry if thats considered a spoiler but its kind of obvious) was so hard to watch in places.Definately a must see. Also, if you liked Wolf Creek then you should really check out DYING BREED (limited release) and ACOLYTES (very limited release), although these probably arent available outside of Aus. Dying Breed has Leigh Whannell from Saw and Nathan Phillips from Wolf Creek, and Acolytes sports a great cast of upcoming Aussie talent (and no I dont work at these movie studios).
I trade my games and have never finished an RPG, so im going to say Grand Theft Auto 4 was around 60 hours of shooting, Far Cry 2 is getting there at around 25 hours, Sly Cooper from my childhood is around 20hours just for pleasure, and thats about it. But I think Fallout 3, Tales of Vesperia and Eternal Sonata (all RPG'S I have bought recently) will take over soon.
Honestly, the the 360 and PS3 do have a lot of games in common compared to the PS3 and the Wii, but around 1/2 the Wii games are dodgy (sorry guys, its true. Im not trying to offend) like Jenga, 700 Minigame Compilation games released a year, Sonic and Mario Rehash's. And the games that are original like The Conduit, House of the Dead Overkill, MadWorld etc . . . dont get financial backing by Nintendo. Basically when you strip back the Motion Control deal, you dont really get great use of the hardware. I'd say get a 360 because of Natal and all, seems to be a good answer to the Wii. And also you get great exclusives like Gears, Halo, Tales of Vesperia, Mass Effect, Fable 2, L4Dand more coming out that you cant get on Wii or PS3. Sorry if this post came out fanboy - ish, I just dont think the Wii is great value.
I think it'll be great in theory, but will cost like $500AU or something, because the 120gb is around $100-250, im not to sure. I think before they reach 1000gb theyll go to 250, 450, etc . .. I dont think 1000 is necessary just yet, and they probably wont be introducing it until entire games can be downloaded online.
Thats a tough decision, L4D is great and still will be strong online even when L4D2 comes out, but L4D2 seems to add more weapons, levelsand stuff. I dont think its worth getting both, and since Valve will forget about L4D soon. Basically my opinion is - If you are going to play online then probably wait for L4D2 and get more time with itunless you're willing to buy both, but if you arent going to play online then get L4D unless your willing to get both.
