Funny story about scary games. The only time I've ever jumped out of my seat from a game was when playing Call of Jaurez . At the beginning during a tutorial you have to sneak past a farmer. He yells at you real quickly when you mess up. The first time I did it I messed up and he yelled and it freaked me out because I had my face right up in the monitor and I thought I was doing well, then all of a sudden he starts yelling and it scared the hell out of me.

Yes, I know Call of Jaurez isn't a horror game. That is why this is a funny story. I just wanted to clear that up before someone quoted this and was telling me that I'm retarded for being scared by a big open sunny game.:)

Operation Flashpoint is the best one I've played to date.rgsniper1

In either ArmA or Operation Flashpoint you will get a similar experience because ArmA is the sequel to Operation Flashpoint. Contrary to popular belief, Operation Flashpoint 2 is not the true sequel to Operation Flashpoint.

Definately ArmA. It has the most realistic sniping period. The game is so realistic it has ballistic models and stuff. If you are looking for realism go for ArmA. Also ArmA is free roaming and huge (400 sq km). Besides sniping there is other fun to be hadlike driving vehicles, mission editing, and huge fights. Also you aren't forced to snipe. If you didn't feel like sniping you could go run up and shoot someone with an M4. Also the game has the .50 cal Berrett Sniper Rifle!

You only get to pick ONE game. Which one is the best PC game in world?

Mine would be Armed Assault, by Bohemia Interactive.

I've played Operation Flashpoint since it was released and now it's ArmA. I will probbly keep playing this game for many many years to come. The game experience is by far the most rewarding I have ever known.

WARxSnake

armed assault in its released form is just way too full of bugs (first priority bugs) to even make the list of top 50. The single player campaign for example hangs on a very thin thread, a bug can happen at anytime whether it be a missing trigger that causes the entire game to stall and force you to restart, or just shoddy gameplay design that forces the same as well.

Its a rehashed Operation flashpoint but worse, you should know that, seeing your avatar.

It really isn't that buggy Warxsnake. If you got the 1.08 patch you would see it runs a lot smoother and the missions work better. It is like a new version of Operation Flashpoint, but better because it has a larger island and on a powerful computer the game has some of the best graphics I've seen. There are also no other games that have the scale that Armed Assault has.

The different axes are how it detects it's area in space. If you look at a coordinate plane the x axis measures left and right and the y axis measures up and down. When a Z coordinate is added you can find a point in 3D space. So X and Y measure on a 2D plane while Z measures depth in 3D. The wii remote and the six axis controller detect movement in 3D coordinates by use of accelerometers. So the Z axis is up and down movement, the Y axis is foreward and backward movement, and the X axis is side to side movement.

The Z rotation measures how the controller is tilted in 3D space.

So if you want to program it for a driving game, you could have the Z rotation controlling your steering. There are also many more uses you will find with the X, Y, Z movement.

When you are setting things up just think back to high school geometry. :P

I never thought it was a gimmick, but the game that made me realize the potential it has is surprisingly Red Steel.

If you want to play games online without any children play PC games. They are too hard to figure out for immature people who can't learn anything.
