Personally I prefer Nvidia, but wouldn't care about getting a ATi card if it was good.

No offence but why would this guy lie, and waste time making a topic, he gains nothing from it. I think he is prob telling the truth.

Not really, i've got a really cheap card atm, cost me like £40 I'll link it to you:

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-058-OK

Not the prettyist of cards but does the job, runs AOE3 with ease.

The card you have linked is better, but I don't think it will make a huge difference, I will get a 9800 in like 2-3 months because 8600 now is pretty old :P

[QUOTE="Lehman"]i srsly thing the laptop i pointed out was good
i mean its 15.4" screen (what you wanted)
lots of RAM for photoshop
a good CPU for photoshop
a good GPU for your art/movie/games
a big HDD

and its only just over 1000$ but if you bargain for it it can see it going under 1000champion_tyler

But these two have similar specs. The processing speed isn't quite as fast, but it's still an intel core duo or whatever. These are also good deals because you save about the same percentage you save on your choice. It's $200 plus a free printer. It gives you a choice to add an adapter. Do you really need to buy the power cord? Anyway, tell me which looks better to you. The first one didn't get as high ratings, but it's processor speed is high than the other.

laptop 2

Them laptops aren't brilliant but if all you want it for is Photoshop and college work and 0 gaming, then get it, no point spending a large ammount of cash if your not going to use it for gaming.

Looks pretty good, appart from the RAM get something like this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-093-CR&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=817

And maybe a GTX 8800 for like £50 more or something.

I brought a dell a few years ago, biggest mistake ever!! The only thing I have left from that disaster of a PC is the moniter.

If your British goto www.overclockers.co.uk you can get some good deals from there, I brought mine from there for like £500 and it's a pretty high spec pc.
