oh...and two handed motion-sensing controller = really crappy motion-based gameplay and hand cramps that make the psp-joystick-thumbcramps seem like nothing.

the reason no one's talking about the wii is because the wii is a totally different type of console. It's not trying to be everything but a game console like the others. All I heard about that sounded interesting on here was that it might be almost as nice as my computer, but wait...it's not fully upgradable, and it won't connect to half the crap that I use...and it only have 60GB hard drive...need I go on? Microsoft is releasing a software upgrade to support full 1080p output. They already announced it. It's not really that hard to do. The announced before the console came out how easy it would be for them to upgrade their system. The software update will be on a free cd.

ok...first of all...most games aren't actually running in 1080p on this system (not that it matters too much because you have to have hdmi and a tv to support it for the console to push that high anyway) the system looks pretty good, other than the lack of pc connectivity, which is a major downside (probably because they think they're gonna make the pc obsolete), but where's the support of c# and .net. I mean, do they actually expect people who work with those standards to move all there code to sony's version of OpenGl. You can't even port c# programs into c++. I wanna know how they plan to address that issue. Looks to me like they're slowing down the progress of the game industry in that respect. C# allows you to make games cheaper and use less memory management and has alot less problems, due to memory security and a much simpler system. I understand that C# was created by Microsoft, but even Linux programmers can use C#. The standard right now in most game companies is C++, but what about future-proofing?

I'd love it if they released on or before November 7th(my bday) with a $179 or $199 price tag, but it's more likely to be around November 10th(one week before Sony) at $250, oh, and I'm sure Zelda and Mario will be available on launch day(at least I sure do hope).
