So what's the big deal about changing discs? It's not like you're going to get to certain key battle in the game and have to swap out a disc every time you change characters or something. FFVII was four discs, VIII and IX were three discs.

But you get access to all of the seasons of Charles in Charge! If that's not worth $6/month I don't know what is...

Seriously though, there are a few gems in the Watch Now section, like Heroes episodes, or The Office, but 90% of it is old stuff. And even that has problems...like Quantum Leap. Most of the episodes are available except for the pilot. Which is great if you already know what happens, but stinks if you don't.

Most of the movies are junk as well. I think they just took all the movies that weren't being rented and put them online to save them the postage of mailing them out.

It's not enough to get me to purchase the Gold plan from XBOX to watch it.

Holy mackrel, this looks better than it did before! Microsoft has gone in the right direction with the new UI -- although Avatars, not so sure.

But, I have to say it again: "MS better not plaster the Dashboard with ads." The main thing I hate about the current one.

I'd be ok with ads if the Gold subscription were free.

Debit cards also don't have a lot of the protections that credit cards do. With credit cards, you can dispute the charges and your liability is zero for 30 days (maybe 60 days?). With a debit card, the payments come immediately from your bank account, and you are on the hook for any overdraft charges that may occur.

That said, credit cards are the spawn of Satan designed to enslave you to your new financial overlords.

Buying points online through microsoft is also more expensive than purchasing points cards at local retailers. Wal-Mart has a 1600 point card for $19.97. I think that Microsoft is selling 1600 points for $25.00.

I think the Gold account kicks in automatically the first time you actually log in from your XBOX onto Live. I remember having the Gold account for a month and not really realizing it until i got the notice that I had to downgrade to Silver.

The title of this post reminds me of Gauntlet. "Blue Warrior is now IT!" "Red Valkyrie is now IT!"

Baldur's Gate and Oblivion.

Maybe some Lego Complete Saga to get some additional achievements. I hate that some acheivements require online play.

If the colors are "smearing", and you have already tried different cables (HDMI vs. Component), it sounds like your GPU is on its way out. If you bought the Best Buy warranty, take it back and get a new one.

Let us know if you get any hassle with the warranty.

[QUOTE="djphelps"]

I'm hoping that they release more RPG's along the lines of Baldur's Gate or Champions of Norrath. Those were fun co-op games. I don't feel as guilty playing games if my wife is playing along with me.

I usually control the charcters on most RPG's while my girlfriend tells me what to do on them, which isn't bad, I guess.

Yeah, I made the mistake of showing her how to make her own character on Oblivion. Now we have to take turns.
