well i got one 1gb stick working now but now only one of my memory slots work. the memory slot that wasnt occupied before is the only one that works rite now. i tried adding two 1gb sticks in both slots but my computer only turns on when one stick is in the slot that wasnt occupied before. before, i had 1 stick of patriot 2gb 800mhz ram in the slot that doesnt work now. the new stick that works is pny 667 mhz ram that i bought from best buy jus to see if another brand could work. my motherboard is an ecs geforce6100sm-m.
i jus replaced my old ram with a new stick of ram and now my bios wont even start up. i tried two different brands and both wont boot up my computer. everything turns on but the motherboard only beeps at me and wont load up. how can i fic this?
So i jus purchased an ecs geforce6100sm-m motherboard and 1 stick of patriot ddr2 800 2gb ram but the motherboard only recognizes 1gb of ram. I contacted ecs about this problem and they told me that this motherboard PASSES with 2gb per slot. What does this mean?
I have an ecs 6100sm-m motherboard and 1 stick of patriot ddr2 800 2gb ram but the motherboard only recognizes 1gb of ram. The motherboard states that it supports up to 16 gb of ram with two slots but it only recognizes 1 gb. Wat can i do to solve this problem? is there somewhere on the bios where i can set the motherboard to recognize 2gb per slot?
