Zimmerman is Hispanic. It's two minorities just to clear that up.......get the facts first. Zimmerman is white and Hispanic so maybe you need to get the facts first. And it's true if Zimmerman was just a black guy and he gunned down a white teen with a hoodie on with skitles and bottled tea he would have been thrown in jail day 1.

I don't see how anyone can defend Zimmerman. He clearly chased Martin down just because he was a black teen in a hoodie. Being the racist that he is, he just assumes that he is up to no good because of his skin color. The whole self defense thing doesn't work for Zimmerman because he had a FREAKING GUN and he out weighted the kid by at least 100 pounds! Trayvon had some skittles and a bottled tea, how the hell was he a threat to Zimmerman? Zimmerman is a clear racist by the way, in his phone call to the police he clearly said an racial slur, effing coon when refering to Trayvon. Also if Zimmerman was acting in self defense, when did Trayvon lose his right to defend himself if he saw a guy following him down the street with a gun? All around Zimmerman was wrong and should go to jail. All he did was sterotype Trayvon ,heck that could have been me, I am a 24 year old black guy who is 6,2 and 215 pounds( not obese) and I sometimes wear a hoodie on cold days. Does that mean I am a criminal? No, If you knew me you would know I am a good guy, with a college degree. If Zimmerman gets away with this, then there will be riots all over the nation I can tell you that.
I am not trying to be offensive here, but as a black person in the United States I think Al Sharpton has every right to stand up for black people that are being mistreated. I don't understand why white people like to bash the guy and call him a racist etc. If people like Rush Limbough ( who is the most ignorant and racist radio talk show host there is) can still be on the air then I don't see any problem with Al Sharpton speaking his mind. White people like to think that us black folks try to over due things when it comes to racism but the fact is that blacks have a harder time even today in society.
