First of all The Legend of Zelda series deserves all the hype it gets.

The Halo series is only slightly overhyped, because it's the console's best FPS

The Metroid Prime series is underhyped, mainly due to Dual Analog fans complaining about the control scheme.

And to say that those games "fail" every time is just sad.

However, the series that I see as overhyped above all others is the Grand Theft Auto series, as the games continue, the hype builds but the games get worse
